Overview

The following information provides an example for configuring A-MSDU and A-MPDU aggregation.

Prerequisites

The following information applies to Comware 7-based access controllers. Procedures and information in the examples might be slightly different depending on the software or hardware version of the H3C access controllers.

The configuration examples were created and verified in a lab environment, and all the devices were started with the factory default configuration. When you are working on a live network, make sure you understand the potential impact of every command on your network.

The following information is provided based on the assumption that you have basic knowledge of A-MSDU and A-MPDU.

Example: Configuring A-MSDU and A-MPDU aggregation

Network configuration

As shown in Figure 1, configure the 802.11an radio mode and configure A-MPDU aggregation and A-MSDU aggregation to reduce AP traffic and improve network throughput efficiency.

Procedures

1.     Click the Network View tab at the bottom of the page.

2.     From the navigation pane, select Wireless Configuration > Radio Management.

3.     Click the More icon  on the Radios for all AP models tab.

4.     Click the Edit icon  for radio 2.4GHz(2) of AP ap1.

5.     On the Basic tab, configure the radio as follows in the Basic Configuration area:

¡     Select On from the Status field.

¡     Select the 802.11n(2.4GHz) radio mode.

6.     On the Basic tab, configure the radio as follows in the 802.11n/802.11ac configuration area:

¡     Select On from the A-MSDU field.

¡     Select On from the A-MPDU field.

Verifying the configuration
