WLAN high availability configuration commands

AC backup commands

backup-ac

Use backup-ac to specify an IPv4/IPv6 backup AC.

Use undo backup-ac to remove the IPv4/IPv6 backup ACs.

Syntax

backup-ac { ip ipv4-address | ipv6 ipv6-address }

undo backup-ac { ip | ipv6 }

Default

By default, no IP address is configured for the backup AC, and the IP address configured in system view is used.

AP template view, AP group view

Default command level

Parameters

ip ipv4-address: Specifies an IPv4 backup AC.

ip ipv6-address: Specifies an IPv6 backup AC.

Usage guidelines

The backup AC configured in AP template view takes effect on the specified AP.

The backup AC configured in AP group view takes effect on all APs in the AP group.

Examples

# Specify the backup AC at 192.168.1.2 for AP 1.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] wlan ap ap1 model WA4620i-ACN

[Sysname-wlan-ap-ap1] backup-ac ip 192.168.1.2

# Specify the backup AC at 192.168.1.2 for all APs in the AP group named office.

display hot-backup state

Use display hot-backup state to display the AC hot backup state.

Syntax

display hot-backup state [ | { begin | exclude | include } regular-expression ]

Parameters

|: Filters command output by specifying a regular expression. For more information about regular expressions, see Fundamentals Configuration Guide.

begin: Displays the first line that matches the specified regular expression and all lines that follow.

exclude: Displays all lines that do not match the specified regular expression.

include: Displays all lines that match the specified regular expression.

regular-expression: Specifies a regular expression, a case-sensitive string of 1 to 256 characters.

# Display the AC hot backup state.

Field

Description

Vlan ID

ID of the VLAN for AC hot backup.

Domain ID

Domain to which the AC belongs.

Link State

AC link state:

·     Close—Not connected.

·     Init—Being connected.

·     Connect—Connected.

Peer Board MAC

MAC address of the peer AC.

Peer Board State

Status of the peer AC:

·     Normal.

·     Abnormal.

·     Unknown—No connection is established.

Hello Interval

Heartbeat interval.

 

hot-backup enable

Use hot-backup enable to enable the AC hot backup function.

Use undo hot-backup enable to disable the AC hot backup function.

Syntax

hot-backup enable [ domain domain-id ] *

undo hot-backup enable

Default

The AC hot backup function is disabled.

Parameters

domain domain-id: Specifies the domain ID of the AC. It is in the range of 1 to 16 and defaults to 1.

Usage guidelines

You can manually configure the domain to which the AC belongs.

Examples

# Enable the AC hot backup function.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname]hot-backup enable

hot-backup hellointerval

Use hot-backup hellointerval to set the interval for sending heartbeat messages. If the master AC or backup AC does not receive any heartbeat packets from the peer within three heartbeat intervals, it considers the peer device disconnected.

Syntax

hot-backup hellointerval hellointerval

Parameters

hellointerval: Sets the interval for sending heartbeat messages, in milliseconds. The default value is 2000 milliseconds. The value range depends on your AC model. For more information, see About the H3C Access Controllers Command References.

Usage guidelines

For WX5004, WX5002V2, WX3510E, and WX3540E, set the heartbeat interval to more than 1.2 seconds.

# Set the heartbeat interval to 100 milliseconds.

[Sysname]hot-backup hellointerval 100

hot-backup vlan

Use hot-backup vlan to set the ID of the VLAN to which the port connected to another AC belongs.

Syntax

hot-backup vlan vlan-id

Default

The port connected to another AC belongs to VLAN 1.

Parameters

vlan vlan-id: Sets the ID of the VLAN to which the port connected to another AC belongs. A vlan-id is in the range of 1 to 4094.

# Set the ID of the VLAN to which the port connected to another AC belongs to 5.

priority level

Use priority level to configure the connection priority for the AP.

Use undo priority level to restore the default.

Syntax

priority level priority

undo priority level

Default

The connection priority of an AP is 4.

Parameters

priority: Specifies the AP connection priority in the range of 0 to 7. The higher the value, the higher the priority.

Usage guidelines

The backup AC configured in AP template view takes effect on the specified AP.

The backup AC configured in AP group view takes effect on all APs in the AP group.

Examples

# Configure the connection priority for AP 3 as 1.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] wlan ap ap3 model WA4620I-ACN

[Sysname-wlan-ap-ap3] priority level 1

# Configure the connection priority for all APs in the AP group named office as 1.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] wlan ap-group office

wlan backup-ac

Use wlan backup-ac to specify the backup AC.

Use undo wlan backup-ac to remove the configuration.

Syntax

wlan backup-ac { ip ipv4-address | ipv6 ipv6-address }

undo wlan backup-ac { ip | ipv6 }

Default

No backup AC address exists.

Views

ip ipv4-address: Specifies the IPv4 address of the backup AC.

ipv6 ipv6-address: Specifies the IPv6 address of the backup AC.

Examples

# Configure the IP address of a backup AC as 192.168.1.1.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] wlan backup-ac ip 192.168.1.1

wlan backup-ac switch-delay

Use wlan backup-ac switch-delay to set the delay for an AP to switch from a backup AC to a primary AC.

Use undo wlan backup-ac switch-delay to remove the configuration.

Syntax

wlan backup-ac switch-delay time

undo wlan backup-ac switch-delay

Default

The delay for an AP to switch from a backup AC to a primary AC is 5 seconds.

Parameters

time: Sets the delay for an AP to switch from a backup AC to a primary AC. The value range is 0 to 600 seconds. The delay timer starts when the AP starts to establish a tunnel with the primary AC.

Examples

# Set the delay for an AP to switch from a backup AC to a primary AC to 10 seconds.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] wlan backup-ac switch-delay 10

Client information backup commands

wlan backup-client enable

Use wlan backup-client enable to enable client information backup.

Use undo wlan backup-client enable to disable client information backup.

Syntax

wlan backup-client enable

undo wlan backup-client enable

Default

Client information backup is disabled.

Usage guidelines

Enable client information backup after you complete AC backup and mobility group configurations.

# Enable client information backup.

Uplink detection commands

wlan uplink track

Use wlan uplink track to specify a track entry for uplink detection.

Use undo wlan uplink-interface to remove the configuration.

Syntax

wlan uplink track track-entry-number

undo wlan uplink track

Default

No track entry is specified for uplink detection.

Parameters

track-entry-number: Specifies the number of the track entry to be detected, in the range of 1 to 1024.

Default command level

2: System level

Examples

# Specify a track entry for uplink detection.
