Notification triggers
This notification is generated when the system receives a BFD echo reply with an invalid return code during a periodic traceroute for an LSP or MPLS TE tunnel. This notification might indicate a periodic-traceroute function issue or an LSP or MPLS TE tunnel failure.
System impact
· If the failure reason is Malformed echo request received or One or more of the TLVs was not understood, this notification indicates a periodic-traceroute function issue, which has no negative impact on the system or services.
· If the failure reason is other values, this notification indicates an LSP or MPLS TE tunnel failure, which might cause forwarding failure for the traffic transmitted over this LSP or TE tunnel.
