Ordering guide

You can install one MPU, or two MPUs for redundancy for the router. To install two MPUs on the router, make sure they are the same model.

The available MPUs vary by router model.

IMPORTANT

IMPORTANT:

·     An SR8805-F router installed with CSR07SRPUC1 MPUs and an SR8803-F router do not support CSPC-CP2LB cards.

·     On an SR8812-F router, a CSPC-CP2LB card can only be installed in slot 0, slot 4, or slot 7.

NOTE:

A combo interface is a logical interface that contains an SFP port and an RJ-45 Ethernet port. Only one of them can be activated at a time.

IMPORTANT

IMPORTANT:

·     The CSPEX-1304S, CSPEX-1404S, and CSPEX-1504S cards are not compatible with the CSR07SRPUB1 and CSR07SRPUC1 MPUs.

·     Do not mix CSPEX-1304S, CSPEX-1404S, or CSPEX-1504S card with other CSPEX cards than these three on an SR8803-F router.

·     A CSPEX-1104-E base card supports a maximum of three MIC-XP4L1 or MIC-GP4L subcards or a maximum of three of them in combinations.

Service module ordering guide

The above mentioned service modules can be used on all the SR8800-F routers. When you order service modules, follow these guidelines:

·     Order the service modules according to your requirements for interface types and interface quantity in the network. For more information about the service modules, see Table 3.

·     Support for some software features depends on the service module model. For more information, contact H3C Support.

Overview

CAUTION

CAUTION:

As a best practice, use an air switch that has a rated current not less than 1.2 times the maximum input current of the power supply.

The SR8800-F routers support the power supplies as listed in Table 11.

Ordering guide

When you order power supplies, follow these guidelines:

·     A minimum of one power supply must be installed to a chassis. To improve power supply availability, you can install two power supplies to a chassis for redundancy.

·     The power supplies installed on an SR8800-F router must be the same type (AC or DC) and model.

Support for power supply models depends on the SR8800-F chassis model. You can order power supplies according to the power supply conditions at the installation site and power consumption requirements, as shown in Table 11 and Table 12.

·     Make sure the total maximum output power of the ordered power supplies is greater than the overall power consumption. As a best practice, reserve 20% of the maximum output power.

·     Typically, an SR8803-F routers use power supplies of 1 RU high, and the other SR8800-F routers use power supplies of 3 RU high.

·     To enable flexible ordering of power supplies for different overall power consumptions, H3C provides power supply adapters. The power supply adapter allows you to insert a power supply of 1 RU high into a power supply slot of 3 RU high.

¡     To install a PSR650-A/PSR650-D power supply in a 3 RU power supply slot, use the LSQM1PWRSPA power supply adapter.

¡     To install a PSR1200-A/PSR1200-D power supply in a 3 RU power supply slot, use the LSQM1PWRSPB power supply adapter.

For more information about installing power supplies and power supply adapters, see "Installing a power supply in the chassis."

Air filter overview

CAUTION

CAUTION:

Clean air filters regularly (once or more times every three months) to guarantee adequate ventilation and avoid over-temperature.

To prevent dusts from entering the chassis, you can install air filters at the inlet air vents of the router.

Air filter ordering guide

Different SR8800-F routers support different air filters. Order air filters compatible with your router.

CF cards

CF card overview

On an MPU with a CF card slot, you can install a CF card to expand the storage space for the device. A CF card can store startup files, configuration files, and logs.

CF card ordering guide

For information about the MPUs with a CF card slot, see Table 1.

Table 14 lists the CF card specifications.

AC power cords

An AC power cord is used to connect an AC power supply of a router to the external AC power supply system.

To select an AC power cord for an AC power supply, consider the following items:

·     Power capacity of the power supply.

·     Current-carrying capacity of the power cord.

·     Region-and country-specific plug type.

The PSR320-A and PSR650-A power supplies require a 10A AC power cord. Table 16 describes the region-and country-specific plug types for 10A AC power cords.

The PSR1200-A, PSR1400-A, and PSR2500-12AHD power supplies require a 16A AC power cord. Table 17 describes the region-and country-specific plug types for 16A AC power cords. The 0404A0RP and 0404A0RQ AC power cords are available for the PSR2500-12AHD power supply.
