# Display Web cache redirection configuration and the status of Web cache.

[Sysname] display webcache

webcache IP address: 1.1.1.1

 webcache MAC address: 000f-e20f-0000

Table 1-1 Description on the fields of the display webcache command

Filed

Description

webcache IP address

IP address of the Web cache server

webcache MAC address

MAC address of the Web cache server

webcache port

Port that connects to the Web cache server

webcache VLAN

VLAN that the Web cache server belongs to

webcache TCP port

Number of the TCP port used by HTTP packets

webcache redirect VLAN

Redirected VLANs, referring to the VLANs whose HTTP packets are to be redirected to the Web cache server. The state of a redirected VLAN can be:

l      Valid: Indicates that the redirection configuration for the VLAN is effective.

l      Invalid: Indicates that the redirection configuration for the VLAN is ineffective.

webcache status

Status of the Web cache redirection function, which can be one of the following:

l      Disable: Indicates that the Web cache redirection function is not enabled.

l      Enable but no detection: Indicates that the redirection function is enabled, but Web cache detection is not started.

l      Enable and detecting: Indicates that the redirection function is enabled, and the system is detecting the Web cache device.

l      Enable but hardware not support: Indicates that the redirection function is enabled, but the hardware does not support this function.

l      Enable but detection fail: Indicates that the redirection function is enabled, but no Web cache device is found.

l      Redirection OK: Indicates that the redirection function is enabled, and a Web cache device is detected. The redirection function is working normally.

webcache address

Syntax

In system view:

webcache address ip-address mac mac-address vlan vlan-id port interface-type interface-number [ tcpport tcpport-number ]

undo webcache all

In Ethernet port view:

webcache address ip-address mac mac-address vlan vlan-id [ tcpport tcpport-number ]

View

System view, Ethernet port view

Parameters

ip-address: IP address of the Web cache server.

mac-address: MAC address of the Web cache server.

vlan-id: ID of the VLAN where Web cache server is to be located.

port interface-type interface-number: Specifies the port through which the switch is connected to the Web cache server. interface-type interface-number is the port type and port number.

tcpport tcpport-number: Specifies the number of the TCP port used by HTTP packets. The default is 80.

Description

Use the webcache address command to configure a Web cache server.

Use the undo webcache all command to remove all Web cache redirection configurations on the switch.

By default, no Web cache server is configured.

You can configure a Web cache server in system view or Ethernet port view. After you configure a Web cache server, you need to configure the redirected VLANs to make the Web cache redirection function take effect.

Note that:

l          The switch can be configured with only one Web cache server. If you configure the Web cache server for multiple times, the last configuration will take effect.

l          If the configured Web cache server is unreachable, the Web cache redirection function will not take effect.

l          The VLAN interface of the VLAN which the Web cache server belongs to must be up; otherwise, the Web cache redirection function will not take effect.

l          If you configured both the Web cache redirection function and the STP function, to ensure that the Web cache redirection function can take effect, you are recommended to configure the port connecting the Web cache server as a trunk or hybrid port and configure the port to permit packets of the VLAN through which users access the Internet.

Examples

# Enable the Web cache redirection function in system view, configuring the Web cache server with the following parameters: IP address to be 1.1.1.1, MAC address to be 0012-0990-2250, VLAN ID to be 40, the port through which the switch is connected to the Web cache server to be Ethernet 1/0/4, and the default TCP port for HTTP.

<Sysname> system-view

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

[Sysname] webcache address 1.1.1.1 mac 0012-0990-2250 vlan 40 port Ethernet 1/0/4

# Enable the Web cache redirection function in Ethernet 1/0/4 port view, configuring Web cache server with the following parameters: IP address to be 1.1.1.1, MAC address to be 0012-0990-2250, VLAN ID to be 40, and the default TCP port for HTTP.

<Sysname> system-view

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

[Sysname] interface Ethernet 1/0/4

[Sysname-Ethernet1/0/4] webcache address 1.1.1.1 mac 0012-0990-2250 vlan 40

webcache redirect-vlan

Syntax

webcache redirect-vlan vlan-id

undo webcache redirect-vlan [ vlan-id ]

View

System view

Parameters

vlan-id: ID of the VLAN whose HTTP traffic is to be redirected.

Description

Use the webcache redirect-vlan command to configure a VLAN as a redirected VLAN, that is, specify to redirect the HTTP traffic of the VLAN to the Web cache server.

Use the undo webcache redirect-vlan command to remove one or all redirected VLANs.

By default, no HTTP traffic is redirected to the Web cache server.

Note that:

l          Before configuring a VLAN as a redirected VLAN, you need to create the VLAN interface for the VLAN.

l          You can configure multiple redirected VLANs by executing the webcache redirect-vlan command repeatedly. You can configure up to 8 redirected VLANs.

l          If you do not specify the vlan-id argument when executing the undo webcache redirect-vlan command, the command will remove all the configured redirected VLANs.

l          The VLAN interface of a redirected VLAN must be up for the Web cache redirection function to take effect.

l          The switch does not support configuring the VLAN to which the Web cache server belongs as a redirected VLAN.

Examples

# Configure VLAN 40 as a redirected VLAN to redirect the HTTP traffic of VLAN 40 to the Web cache server.

<Sysname> system-view

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

[Sysname] webcache redirect-vlan 40
