Chapter 1  VBAS Configuration Commands

1.1  VBAS Configuration Commands

1.1.1  debugging vbas

Syntax

debugging vbas { all | general | error | packet }

undo debugging vbas { all | general | error | packet }

Parameters

all: Enables all debugging functions.

general: Enables the debugging function of operations.

error: Enables the debugging function of program errors.

packet: Enables the debugging function of packets.

Description

Use the debugging vbas command to enable the VBAS debugging function and specify the VBAS module debugging information.

Use the undo debugging vbas command to cancel the current configuration.

By default, the VBAS debugging function is disabled.

The VBAS request packet:

Display the VBAS request packet received by the equipment

The VBAS response packet:

Display the VBAS response packet received by the equipment

VbasPorcPkt: The input buffer is null.

The VbasPorcPkt function receives null pointer.

VbasPorcPkt: VBAS is not enable;

VBAS is not enabled on the port or on the VLAN.

VbasPorcPkt: VBAS is not enable; PortIndex = %d

VBAS is not enabled when the port is not in the VLAN.

VbasPorcPkt: L2Output error.

Error occurs when invoking the underlying function to output packets.

VbasParseInputPkt: Version error; Version = %x

Version number error in the VBAS request

VbasParseInputPkt: Reserve error; Reserve[0] = %d, Reserve[1] = %d, Reserve[2] = %d

Reserved fields error in the VBAS request

VbasParseInputPkt: TransInfoType error; TransInfoType = %x

Transfer information error in the VBAS request

VbasParseInputPkt: OperType error; OperType = %x

Operation type error in the VBAS request

VbasComposeOutputPkt: malloc for mbuf error

MBUF memory distribution error

VbasComposeOutputPkt: OperResult = %d is not OK

Wrong fields exist in the received VBAS request.

VbasComposeOutputPkt: Can't find the user accessing port, OperResult = %d

Can not find the user accessing port

VbasComposeOutputPkt: Get user info error

Error occurs when the underlying function gets the information of user accessing port.

 

Examples

# Enable the debugging function of general operations of the VBAS module.

Syntax

vbas enable

undo vbas enable

VLAN view/Ethernet port view

Parameters

None

Description

Use the vbas enable command to enable the VBAS function.

Use the undo vbas enable command to disable the VBAS function.

By default, the VBAS function on the VLAN and the port are disabled.

Examples

# Enable the VBAS function on port Ethernet 2/1/1.

<H3C> system-view

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

[H3C] interface ethernet 2/1/1

[H3C-ethernet2/1/1] vbas enable

1.1.3  vbas deviceId_type

Syntax

vbas deviceId_type [ sysname | bridge_mac ]

undo vbas deviceId_type

Parameters

sysname: System name of the equipment.

bridge_mac: Name of bridge MAC.

Description

Use the vbas deviceld_type command to set the type of user AccessNodeIdentifier. The type of AccessNodeIdentifier can be the bridge MAC or the system name of the equipment.

Use the undo vbas deviceld_type command to restore the type of AccessNodeIdentifer to the default type.

By default, the type of user AccessNodeIdentifier is the bridge MAC address.

Note that when there is space or ‘/’ character in the system name, the vbas deviceld_type sysname command will not be executed successfully. If you have successfully configured this command, when you change the system name of the equipment, no space or ‘/’ character is allowed to be used.

Examples

# Specify the type of AccessNodeIdentifer as the system name of the equipment.

<H3C> system-view

System View: return to User View with Ctrl+Z.

[H3C] vbas deviceId_type sysname
