HH3C-MULTICAST-SNOOPING-MIB

About this MIB

Multicast snooping runs on a Layer 2 device as a multicast constraining mechanism to improve multicast forwarding efficiency. It creates Layer 2 multicast forwarding entries from IGMP or MLD packets that are exchanged between the hosts and the Layer 3 device.

Use this MIB to manage IGMP snooping and MLD snooping.

Recommended action

To resolve the issue:

1.Identify whether the number of Layer 2 multicast forwarding entries exceeds the upper limit allowed by the device.

  - If yes, execute the reset igmp-snooping group or reset mld-snooping group command to clear dynamic IGMP or MLD snooping group entries; or execute the undo igmp-snooping static-group or undo mld-snooping static-group command to remove the configuration of static member ports.

  - If no, go to step 2.

2.If the issue persists, collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact H3C Support for help.
