2 FRU compatibility matrixes

MPUs

The router uses MPUs for system configuration and monitoring, including route calculation, forwarding table maintenance, and device monitoring. They can also provide high-precision clock and time synchronization.

The CR-19K-MPU-16A and CR-19K-MPU-16B MPUs are available for the router.

Do not install the CR-19K-MPU-16A and CR-19K-MPU-16B MPUs on the same router.

Fabric modules

Fabric modules switch data between interface modules.

Table2-1 describes the fabric modules available for the router.

Fabric module filler panels

The router comes with empty fabric module slots. For good ventilation, purchase and install filler panels in the empty fabric module slots.

Interface modules

The interface modules offer line-rate forwarding. They provide different types of Ethernet fiber ports. Each port is a Layer 3 interface and supports varieties of features, including IP routing, forwarding, MPLS, security, QoS, multicasting, traffic statistics, and IPv6.

The router supports interface modules of different models.

Table2-3 describes the interface modules compatibility with fabric modules.

Interface subcards

Install interface subcards on interface modules. Table2-4 describes the interface subcard compatibility with interface modules.

Power supplies

The router supports both AC and DC power supplies.

The PSR2400-54D, PSR2400-54A, and PSR3000-54A power supplies are available for the router.

Do not install power supplies of different models on the same router.

Fan trays

Fan trays on a CR19000-16 router draw ambient air into the chassis through the air vents in the MPU and interface module panels, pull the air through the fabric module panels, and exhaust the air carrying heat through the air vents in the fan tray panel.
