Recommended action
1.Use the display arp entry-limit command to display the maximum number of ARP entries that a device supports.
2.Use the display arp all count command to display all ARP entries. Check the Total number of entries field in the output from the command to identify whether the number of ARP entries has reached the limit supported by the device.
3.Use the display arp all command to display the numbers of static and dynamic ARP entries.
- If the number of static ARP entries is larger than the number of dynamic ARP entries, go to step 4.
- If the number of dynamic ARP entries is larger than the number of static ARP entries, go to step 5.
4.Identify whether the configured static ARP entries are required based on network planning and service deployment.
- If the static ARP entries are required, go to step 6.
- If the static ARP entries are not required, use the undo arp command to delete an ARP entry or use the reset arp static command to clear all static ARP entries without affecting running services.
5.Use the arp max-learning-number command to change the dynamic ARP learning limit on the device to a smaller number. For an interface that has a large number of dynamic ARP entries, use the arp max-learning-num command to change the dynamic ARP learning limit on that interface to a smaller number.
6.If the issue persists, collect configuration file and alarm information, and contact H3C Support.

Notification triggers
This notification is generated when the number of routes in the routing table for the public network exceeds the upper limit.

Recommended action
1.Use the display ip routing-table summary command to check the values for the Max Active Route and Remain Active Route fields to identify whether the number of routes for the public network has reached the upper limit.
2.Use the display ip routing-table statistics command to identify whether the number of routes for each protocol is as expected.
- If the numbers are as expected, use the ip public-instance command to enter public instance view and change the maximum number of active IPv4/IPv6 routes supported by the device to a larger value.
- If the numbers are not as expected, change the route settings for the target protocols as needed and then perform step 1 again. For more information about how to change the route settings for the target protocols, see the related protocol configuration guide.
3.If the issue persists, collect configuration file, log, and alarm information, and contact H3C Support.
