Last statistics reset time

This field is an absolute time and will not change with the system time. This field is displayed only when the reset ipv6 netstream statistics command is executed; otherwise, the value for this field is Never.

IPv6 packet size distribution (0 total packets):

Distribution of IPv6 packets by packet size, and the bracketed number is the total number of packets

The value is displayed in the proportion of number of IPv6 packets to the total IP packets, and is displayed with 3 decimal places.

1-32   64   96  128  160  192  224  256  288

1024 1536 2048 2560 3072 3584 4096 4608

Range of IP packet length (excluding data link layer header), in bytes. In the range 1 to 576, the range increments in the step of 32. For example, "1-32" shows the number of packets in size of 1 to 32 bytes, and "64" shows the number of packets in size of 33 to 64 bytes. For the value greater than 1024, the range increments in the step of 512. For example, "1536" shows the number of packets in size of 1025 to 1536 bytes. Packets in size of 577 to 1024 are recorded in the 1024 entry.

Protocol           Total Streams  Packets /Sec   Stream /Sec   Packets /stream Active(sec) /stream   Idle(sec) /stream

Statistics of packet by protocol type in the following counting criteria: protocol number, total number of flows, number of packets per second, number of flows per second, number of packets per flow, active time of each flow, and inactive time of each flow.

Type DstIP(Port)            SrcIP(Port)            FlowLbl If(Direc)  Pkts

Statistics of the active flows in the current cache including flow type, destination IP address (destination port), source IP address (source port), flow label, interface type and name (direction), and the number of packets.

Flows are classified into the following types: IPv6 flows (IP), Layer 2 flows (L2), and IP&L2 flows.

ICMPv6 packets do not contain port number fields, so the type and code fields are captured. The value for the destination port represents these two fields. More specifically, the highest 8 bits represent the type field and the lowest 8 bits represent the code field. The value for the source port is set to 0 and does not indicate any statistics.

DstMAC(VLAN)          SrcMAC(VLAN)

Layer 2 information of the active flows in the current cache, including destination MAC address, destination VLAN ID, source MAC address, and source VLAN ID

L2   0000-0000-0000(2)      0000-0000-0000(2)

Statistics about the MAC addresses of the Layer 2 frames. The router does not support collection of such statistics, and displays "0000-0000-0000(2)".

3: Manage level

Parameters

ip-address: Destination IP address for IPv6 NetStream data export. Only IPv4 addresses are supported.

udp-port: Destination UDP port number for IPv6 NetStream data export, in the range 0 to 65535.

vpn-instance vpn-instance-name: Specifies an MPLS L3VPN that the IPv6 NetStream data export destination belongs to. The vpn-instance-name argument is a case-sensitive string of 1 to 31 characters. If the destination is on the public network, do not specify this option.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export host to set the destination address for IPv6 NetStream data export.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export host to delete the specified export address or all export addresses that are configured in this view.

By default, no destination address is configured in system view, and the destination address in aggregation view is that configured in system view.

Different destination hosts can be configured in different aggregation views.

Up to four different destination addresses, including addresses in different VPNs, can be configured in one aggregation view. If you have configured the destination addresses with the same IP addresses but different UDP ports, the last configuration takes effect. If you configure different VPN instance names, you can configure destination addresses with the same IP address and UDP port.

IPv6 NetStream traditional data are exported to all destination addresses configured in system view, and IPv6 NetStream aggregation data are exported to all destination addresses configured in the related aggregation view. If you expect IPv6 NetStream aggregation data only, configure the destination address in the aggregation view, and do not configure the destination address in system view; otherwise, the IPv6 NetStream traditional data are also be exported, which will increase the bandwidth occupation.

Related commands: ipv6 netstream aggregation and ipv6 netstream export source.

Default level

3: Manage level

Parameters

rate: Maximum rate for exporting IPv6 NetStream data, in the unit of the maximum number of packets per second. It is in the range of 1 to 1000.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export rate to configure the limit on the IPv6 NetStream data export rate.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export rate to remove the IPv6 NetStream data export limit.

By default, the export rate of NetStream data is not limited.

The export rate on each card is different. Because the aging timer is different, the configuration may not be very precise on a multi-CPU router.

Examples

# Allow 10 packets at most to be exported per second.

<Sysname> system-view

[Sysname] ipv6 netstream export rate 10

ipv6 netstream export source

Syntax

ipv6 netstream export source interface interface-type interface-number

Parameters

interface-type interface-number: Specifies a source interface for NetStream data export by its type and number.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export source to configure the source interface for NetStream data export.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export source to remove the configured source interface.

By default, the interface (where the NetStream data is sent out) connecting to the NetStream server is used as the source interface.

Different source interfaces can be configured in different aggregation views.

If no source interface is configured in aggregation view, the source interface configured in system view is used.

H3C recommends you connect the network management interface to the NetStream server and configure it as the source interface.

Related commands: ipv6 netstream aggregation.

Examples

# Configure the source interface for NetStream data export as M-Ethernet 6/0/0.

ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate packet

Syntax

ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate packet packets

undo ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate packet

View

System view

Default level

3: Manage level

Parameters

packets: Specifies the number of packets that are sent before version 9 templates are sent to the NetStream server for an update. It is in the range of 1 to 600.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate packet to configure the refresh frequency for NetStream version 9 templates so that the templates are sent when the specified number of packets are sent.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate packet to restore the default.

By default, version 9 templates are sent every 20 packets.

Version 9 is template-based and supports user-defined formats, so the NetStream-enabled router needs to send the new template to the NetStream server for an update. If the version 9 format is changed on the router and not updated on the NetStream server, the server is unable to associate the received statistics with its proper fields. To avoid such situation, configure the refresh frequency for version 9 templates so that the NetStream server can refresh them on time.

The refresh frequency and interval can be both configured, and the template is resent when either of the condition is reached.

Related commands: ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate time.

Examples

# Configure the router to wait until 100 packets are sent before sending NetStream version 9 templates again to the NetStream server.

View

System view

Default level

3: Manage level

Parameters

minutes: Specifies the refresh interval in minutes that the router waits after NetStream version 9 templates are sent to the NetStream server. It is in the range of 1 to 3600.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate time to configure the refresh interval for NetStream version 9 templates so that the templates are sent after the specified time period.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export v9-template refresh-rate time to restore the default.

By default, version 9 templates are resent every 30 minutes.

Version 9 is template-based and supports user-defined formats, so the NetStream-enabled router needs to send the new template to the NetStream server for an update. If the version 9 format is changed on the router and not updated on the NetStream server, the server is unable to associate the received statistics with its proper fields. To avoid such situation, configure the refresh interval for version 9 templates so that the NetStream server can refresh them on time.

The refresh frequency and interval can be both configured, and the template is resent when either of the condition is reached.

Parameters

origin-as: Specifies to record the statistics about source autonomous system (AS) and destination AS.

peer-as: Specifies to record the statistics about the peer ASs.

bgp-nexthop: Specifies to record the statistics about BGP next hops.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream export version 9 to export IPv6 NetStream data in version 9 format, and choose whether to record data about AS and BGP next hop information.

Use undo ipv6 netstream export version to restore the default.

By default, version 9 format is used to export IPv6 NetStream traditional data, IPv6 NetStream aggregation data, and MPLS flow data with IPv6 fields; the peer AS numbers are recorded; the BGP next hop is not recorded.

An IPv6 NetStream entry for a flow records the source IPv6 address and destination IPv6 address, and two AS numbers for each IP address. You can configure which AS numbers to be exported as the source AS and destination AS.

Examples

# Configure to export NetStream data in version 9 format and specify the data to include the source AS and destination AS.

Parameters

max-entries: Specifies the maximum number of entries that the cache can save. This argument is effective on each card.

aging: Ages out the entries in the cache when the maximum number is reached.

disable-caching: Disables creation of a new entry when the maximum number is reached.

Description

Use ipv6 netstream max-entry to configure the maximum number of IPv6 NetStream entries that the cache can accommodate, and configure whether to age out the entries or disable creation of a new entry when the number of entries in the cache reaches the upper limit.

Use undo ipv6 netstream max-entry to restore the default.

By default, the maximum number of entries that the NetStream cache can accommodate is 409600, and when the number of entries in a cache reaches the upper limit, they are aged out.

Examples

# Set the maximum entries in the cache to 65536.

<Sysname> system-view

Parameters

Net-Stream interface-number: Specifies the primary destination interface to which traffic is mirrored.

backup-interface Net-Stream interface-number: Specifies a backup destination interface to which traffic is mirrored.

inbound: Mirrors inbound traffic.

outbound: Mirrors outbound traffic.

Description

Use ip netstream mirror-to to mirror traffic to an interface for NetStream statistics collection.

Use undo ip netstream mirror-to to cancel the traffic mirroring.

By default, the interface does not mirror traffic to a NetStream interface.

This feature is supported on SPC cards only.

Examples

# Configure to mirror the inbound traffic of interface GigabitEthernet 3/0/1 to NetStream interface 2/0/1.

Parameters

label-positions: Specifies position of the labels to be counted.

no-ip-fields: IP options are not counted.

label-position1: Position of the first label to be counted, in the range of 1 to 6.

label-position2: Position of the second label to be counted, in the range of 1 to 6.

label-position3: Position of the third label to be counted, in the range of 1 to 6.

Description

Use ip netstream mpls to count and export MPLS packets. By using the no-ip-fields keyword, you can set whether to carry IP options when exporting MPLS packets. If you do not provide any arguments, the first label is used and IP options are carried in MPLS packets.

Use undo ip netstream mpls to disable counting and exporting of MPLS packets.

By default, counting and exporting of MPLS packets are disabled.

·           Collection of NetStream MPLS packet statistics is supported only when NetStream is enabled.

·           To collect statistics about MPLS packets carrying IPv4 data, enable IPv4 NetStream.

·           To collect statistics about MPLS packets carrying IPv6 data, enable IPv6 NetStream.

·           To collect statistics about MPLS packets carrying neither IPv4 nor IPv6 data, enable IPv4 NetStream.

·           On a NAM card, to collect statistics about MPLS packets carrying non-IPv4 data, enable IPv4 NetStream. Only the statistics about labels are collected.

Examples

# Enable MPLS NetStream, and export MPLS packets with the first, second and third labels and IP contents being counted.
