Recommended action
To resolve this issue:
1.Execute the display session table { ipv4 | ipv6 } command to verify whether the number of sessions on the device has reached the upper limit.
- If the number of sessions has reached the upper limit, expand the device storage capacity to store more sessions. Check whether the alarm is removed. If the issue persists, go to step 2.
- If the number of session does not reach the upper limit, go to step 2.
2.Collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact H3C Support for help.

Recommended action
To resolve this issue:
1.If abrupt increase is detected in the session table usage, execute the display session table { ipv4 | ipv6 } command to verify whether sessions of abnormal services exist.
- If no abnormal service session exists, the new sessions are normal service sessions and no action is required.
- If abnormal service sessions exist, configure a protection policy to prevent the device from attacks as a best practice.
2.If abrupt drop is detected in the session table usage, verify whether the current service connections are interrupted.
- If no current service connection is interrupted, no action is required.
- If a current service connection is interrupted, verify whether the device link is disconnected. If the issue persists, go to step 3.
3.Collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact H3C Support for help.

Recommended action
To resolve this issue:
1.If abrupt increase is detected in the session creation attempt rate, execute the display session statistics command to verify whether the session creation rate is far lower than the session creation attempt rate.
- If the session creation rate is far lower than the session creation attempt rate, use the session fast-drop enable command to enable deny sessions. If the issue persists, go to step 4.
- If the session creation rate is little lower than the session creation attempt rate, go to step 2.
2.Execute the display session table { ipv4 | ipv6 } command to verify whether sessions of abnormal services exist.
- If no abnormal service session exists, the new sessions are normal service sessions and no action is required.
- If abnormal service sessions exist, configure protection policy to prevent the device from attacks as a best practice.
3.If abrupt drop is detected in the session creation attempt rate, verify whether the current service connections are interrupted.
- If no current service connection is interrupted, no action is required.
- If a current service connection is interrupted, verify whether the device link is disconnected. If the issue persists, go to step 3.

Recommended action
To resolve this issue:
1.If the configured threshold is low, execute the session usage threshold threshold-value command to increase the threshold. If the threshold is reasonable, execute the display session table { ipv4 | ipv6 } command to verify whether sessions of abnormal services exist.
- If no abnormal service session exists, the new sessions are normal service sessions. Go to step 2.
- If abnormal service sessions exist, configure protection policy to prevent the device from attacks as a best practice.
2.Configure IRF or add switching fabric modules to expand the device capacity to store more sessions. Verify whether the alarm is removed. If the issue persists, go to step 3.
3.Collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact H3C Support for help.
