Notification triggers
This notification is generated when the MAD mechanism detects that the IRF fabric has split.
System impact
The IRF fabric splits into two or more IRF fabrics.
MAD disables all IRF fabrics except one from forwarding data traffic by shutting down all their network ports except those excluded manually or by default from the MAD shutdown action.
The down interfaces cannot provide services.
Status control
This notification cannot be disabled.

Recommended action
1. Execute the display irf topology command to identify the topology of the IRF fabric.
2. Check the physical connections of the IRF ports for miscabling.
Verify that the physical interfaces of IRF-port 1 on one member are connected to the physical interfaces of IRF-port 2 on the other.
3. Execute the display irf link and display interface commands to identify the failed interface and failure cause, respectively. Recover the link based on the provided failure cause.
4. If the issue persists, collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact H3C Support for help.
