AD-Haul Bearer Network Solution

The 5G network requires wide coverage, large connection, high bandwidth and low latency. It needs to provide real-time capability and reliability for communication between people, communication between people and things, communication between things, as well as for industry applications. In addition, the 5G network architecture introduced NFV/SDN, cloud native microservices and other advanced technologies and concepts to realize stronger network capability, flexible architecture, and convenient resource scheduling. It enables the 5G network to meet the requirements for intelligent terminals, such as mobile phones, VR/AR devices and other personal services and to integrate with the government and enterprise market, such as industrial Internet, medical treatment, and education. Therefore, to support features of 5G networks like high bandwidth, low latency, high reliability, simplified protocols, manageability and controllability, H3C launched the application-driven AD-Haul bearer network solution based on mature SDN technology. China Telecom

H3C has been a key IPRAN vendor since 4G era.

Since 2018, H3C has been actively involved in the formulation of China Telecom’s 5G STN technical specifications and network management SDN interface specifications, and launched 5G STN products.

In 2019, 5G STN whole-line products passed the centralized procurement test organized by the group.

In 2020, STN products were centrally procured and put into commercial use in 12 provinces, serving more than 50% of southern provinces with teleservices.

China Unicom

In 2019, H3C successfully completed the field pilot of China Unicom’s intelligent MAN. The technical solution can meet the development requirements of the 5G network and the MAN service bearer.

In 2020, H3C won China Unicom's bidding on all sections for the centralized procurement of intelligent MAN, and installed devices in 19 provincial branches.

AD: Application driven

Haul: from Backhaul. The IP forwarding bearer network of the mobile communication network has been referred to as Backhaul (from base station to core network) in the communications industry since the 3G era.
