Introduction

This document describes the features, restrictions and guidelines, open problems, and workarounds for version SecCenterSMP-E1704P01. Before you use this version on a live network, back up the configuration and test the version to avoid software upgrade affecting your live network.

Restrictions and cautions

For browsers

To get better display, use browsers Google Chrome 57 or higher.

For the operating system

Set the time zone in the operating system to Shanghai East 8 district.

For device version compatibility

·            Compatible device versions are D032 and D045.

·            Configure the device to use the local time in the log timestamp. If you configure the device to use the standard GMT, the log timestamp displayed on the SMP will be different from that on the device.

·            The system supports receiving a maximum of 10000 log messages per second from devices. Exceeding logs will be dropped.

Licensing

About licensing

H3C offers licensing options for you to deploy features and expand resource capacity on an as needed basis. To use license-based features, purchase licenses from H3C and install the licenses.

·            Symptom: The area collector drop-down list contains no options sometimes, resulting in area creation failure.

·            Condition:None.

·            Workaround: Restart the cloudops service in the CLI.

·            Symptom: You cannot delete, edit, or redeploy the IPS whitelist entries that failed to be deployed due to exceeding the maximum number of entries allowed.

·            Symptom: When you add or edit a security zone, if you change the device after interfaces are selected, the interface list for the security zone retains the interfaces previously selected.

·            Symptom: Create vulnerability and virus subrules for a correlation rule. The subrules require full match. Construct logs that match the subrules. The generated security events contain only vulnerability logs.

·            Condition:None.

·            Symptom: Bulk synchronize assets. During the synchronization, the asset CPU usage and memory usage are not displayed. After you restart the cloudops service, the SMP cannot obtain the CPU usage and memory usage of some assets.

·            Condition:None.

·            Workaround: None.

·            Symptom: When you import a license that contains hierarchical management authorization, the cloudops service will restart. In this case, you are unable to log in to the system, and the webpage prompts “Failed to obtain license information” or “Please import the correct license.” If you import other licenses, the licenses cannot be activated.

·            Condition:None.

·            Workaround: Include one hierarchical management license in the first license file imported to system. Do not include a hierarchical management license in subsequent imports of licenses.

·            Condition: This symptom occurs when you install English version SMP system by using an ISO file.

·            Symptom: For initial import of licenses to the platform, if the licenses imported include the hierarchical management license, the number of the hierarchical management license generated in the platform is greater than 1, and the license cannot be activated. For additional import of licenses to the platform, if the licenses imported include the hierarchical management license, the platform prompts that you should import the correct license.

·            Condition: None.

·            Symptom: The cumulative number of licenses in the SMP platform is incorrect. It records only one Additional 1 Node License.
