Syntax

display license ap [ | { begin | exclude | include } regular-expression ]

Parameters

ap: Displays information about AP licenses registered with the access controller.

|: Filters command output by specifying a regular expression. For more information about regular expressions, see Fundamentals Configuration Guide.

begin: Displays the first line that matches the specified regular expression and all lines that follow.

exclude: Displays all lines that do not match the specified regular expression.

include: Displays all lines that match the specified regular expression.

regular-expression: Specifies a regular expression, a case-sensitive string of 1 to 256 characters.

Description

Use display license to display information about AP licenses, including their license keys, activation keys, and the maximum number of online APs.

Examples

# Display AP licenses registered with the access controller.

Field	Description
No.	License number.
SN	Serial number of the access controller.
License Key	License key of a standard license. To get the License Key,you can purchase the software license certificate.
Activation Key	Activation key. To get the activation key, purchase the software license certificate, and log in to the H3C website to register the license by using the license key, device serial number, and checksum in the correct format. NOTE: You can get the serial number and checksum of the access controller by using the display device serial-number command.
AP Number	Number of online APs permitted by the license.
Serial Number	Serial number of an enhanced license.
Available Time Left	Remaining lifetime of the license.

Syntax

license append license-key activation-key

Parameters

license-key: Specifies the license key of a standard license. You get a license key when you purchase a permanent standard license or get or trial standard license.

activation-key: Specifies the activation key for the license. To obtain an activation key for a standard license, you must use the license key to register the license on the H3C website. For more information about registering standard licenses, see H3C WX Series Access Controllers License Registration and Activation Guide.

Description

Use license append to register a standard license with the access controller.

After registering a license, reboot the access controller to validate the license.

An AP license represents a certain number of online APs supported by the access controller. You can increase the number of supported online APs by adding AP licenses until the maximum number of online APs that the access controller can support is reached.

# Register a standard license with the access controller.

The license is added successfully. To make it take effect, reboot the device.

license register

Syntax

license register ap serial-number

Parameters

serial-number: Specifies the active-key of an enhanced AP license, in the format of XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX, where X represents a character. Valid characters include letters (case-sensitive), digits, plus signs (+), and forward slashes (/).

Description

Use license register to register an enhanced AP license with the access controller.

To get an active-key, purchase the software license certificate, and log in to the H3C website to register the license by using the license key, device serial number, and checksum in the correct format.

An enhanced license does not require an activation key as does a standard license.

 

NOTE You can get the serial number and checksum of the access controller by using the display device serial-number command.
