|
Restrictions and guidelines |
· To use GE SFP copper transceiver modules, make sure the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). · To use a 2.5G SFP transceiver module to connect to the peer end, use dual-fiber connection. If single-fiber connection is used, only one end of the link is up, which affects normal communication. |

Restrictions and guidelines |
· S6510-50QS To use transceiver modules with a maximum transmission distance greater than or equal to 80 km (49.71 miles) or GE copper transceiver modules, make sure the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). Do not install the transceiver modules in adjacent ports. · S6510-2C ¡ To use 10GE SFP+ transceiver modules with a minimum transmission distance of 80 km (49.71 miles) or GE SFP copper transceiver modules, make sure the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). ¡ To use 10GE SFP-10GE-T copper transceiver modules, make sure the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). Do not install the transceiver modules in adjacent ports. ¡ To use a 2.5G SFP transceiver module to connect to the peer end, make sure the peer end is configured with the speed 2500 and duplex full commands. ¡ To use a 2.5G SFP transceiver module to connect to the peer end, use dual-fiber connection. If single-fiber connection is used, only one end of the link is up, which affects normal communication. |

|
Restrictions and guidelines |
· SFP28 ports do not support autonegotiation and operate at 25 Gbps by default. To change the speed to 10 Gbps, use the port-mode slot command to specify the 1/10-Gbps dual-rate mode for the ports. After configuration, all SFP28 ports will operate at 10 Gbps. · When an SFP port uses a GE transceiver module to connect to the peer end, make sure the peer end is configured with the speed 1000 and duplex full commands. · To use transceiver modules with a maximum transmission distance greater than or equal to 80 km (49.71 miles) or GE SFP copper transceiver modules, make sure the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). · To use 10GE copper transceiver modules, make sure the transceiver modules are not installed in adjacent ports and the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C (104°F). |

· To restart the switch, press the button for no more than 5 seconds and release the button. · To restore the factory default and restart the switch, press and hold the button for over 5 seconds and release the button when the SYS LED flashes red rapidly (8 Hz). This operation only restarts the switch if the switch is an IRF member device. To restore the factory default with the reset button, you must first remove the switch from the IRF fabric. To enhance switch security and prevent factory default restoration caused by misuse of the reset button, execute the undo push-button reset enable command to disable the reset button. |
8 Cooling system
To dissipate heat timely and enhance system stability, the switch uses a high-performance cooling system. Consider the site ventilation design when you plan the installation site for the switch.
