Appendix B Purchase guide
This appendix describes the interface module compatibility with H3C MSR series routers. In the tables, "Yes" means "Supported" and "No" means "Not supported."

IMPORTANT: · Layer 2 communication across slots is not supported between SIC Ethernet switching modules or between SIC Ethernet switching modules and HMIM Ethernet switching modules. · The PoE feature of a PoE interface module takes effect only when the PoE interface module is installed on a PoE device. When installed on a non-PoE device, the PoE interface module can only be used as a Layer 2 forwarding interface module. · The following routers do not support China Network Data Encryption (CNDE) modules when they are installed with a SIC-4G-CNDE or SIC-D4G-CNDE interface module: MSR2630E-X1, MSR2680-XS, MSR3610E-X1, MSR3610E-X1-DP, and MSR3620-G-X3. |
