Recommended action

To resolve the issue:

1.     Execute the display esmc interface command to verify that the values for the following fields are as follows.

¡     Port status—Up.

¡     Duplex mode—Full.

¡     Mode—Synchronous.

¡     ESMC status—Enable.

a.     If the value of any of the fields is not as expected, verify that the configuration and physical link are normal.

¡     To modify the duplex mode, execute the duplex command in interface view.

¡     To configure the operating mode for an interface, execute the synchronous mode command in interface view.

¡     To enable ESMC, execute the esmc enable command.

b.     If the values for the fields are as expected, go to step 2.

2.     Execute the display esmc interface command to verify that the number of received ESMC packets (the value of the ESMC information packets received field) has increased. If the number of packets has increased, the ESMC is functioning correctly and no further processing is required.

3.     If the issue persists, contact H3C Support.
