Configuring tunnel policies

About tunnel policies

A tunnel policy enables a PE to forward traffic of an MPLS VPN over multiple LSP tunnels to the peer PE for load sharing.

If the traffic of a VPN is load-shared over multiple tunnels, the device or the upper layer application might take time to re-order the packets of the VPN. This is because the time delays on different tunnels might differ massively.

For more information about MPLS VPN, see "Configuring MPLS L3VPN."
