License management commands
display license
Use display license to display registration information for license-based features.
Syntax
display license ap [ | { begin | exclude | include } regular-expression ]

1: Monitor level
Parameters
ap: Displays the number of APs specified in the license.
|: Filters command output by specifying a regular expression. For more information about regular expressions, see Fundamentals Configuration Guide.
begin: Displays the first line that matches the specified regular expression and all lines that follow.
exclude: Displays all lines that do not match the specified regular expression.
include: Displays all lines that match the specified regular expression.
regular-expression: Specifies a regular expression, a case-sensitive string of 1 to 256 characters.

License key. You can obtain the license key from New H3C Technologies Co., Ltd. Software License Certificate that you purchase. |

Activation key. You can obtain the activation key by registering the license key, device SN, and the check sum at the H3C registration center. NOTE: To get the device SN and check sum, use the display device serial-number command. |

AP Number |
Number of APs that are allowed by the license. |

Available Time Left |
Remaining time of the license. |
license append
Use license append to register a feature with the device.

license append license-key activation-key

license-key: Specifies the license key, a string of 20 characters.
activation-key: Specifies the activation key, a string of 20 characters.
Usage guidelines
Reboot the device to make the license effective.

# Register a license-based feature with the device.

The license is added successfully. To make it take effect, reboot the device.

Parameters
ap: Registers a license to increase the maximum number of online APs.
activation-key: Activation key of a license, in the format of XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
Usage guidelines
Before registering the license, purchase a system software license.
To obtain the activation key, follow these steps:
1. Use the display device serial-number command to display the device SN and check sum.
2. Obtain the license key provided by the software license certificate.
3. Visit the license registration center, use the device SN, check sum, and the license key to apply for the activation key.
