Overview
The AD-DC 6.3 solutions use Unified Platform to endow data centers with network deployment automation and intelligent O&M capabilities. Unified Platform provides rich network, security, and maintenance services, as well as a unified portal for service deployment and configuration.
This document introduces the application scenarios and brief configuration flow for the AD-DC 6.3 solutions.
Service scenarios
Table 1 shows the service application scenarios for the AD-DC solutions.
Scenario |
Description |
Unified Platform and components deployment |
Deployment of Unified Platform and its components, network planning, and references to the related deployment and configuration guides. |
Underlay network configuration |
Manual and automatic underlay network configuration and device incorporation from the controller. |
Security service resource configuration |
Basic configuration and incorporation for service gateway resources and service chain resources. |
Service configuration in non-cloud scenarios |
Configuration of basic services in non-cloud scenarios. |
OpenStack cloud service configuration |
Collaboration with the OpenStack platform. |
Multiple egresses and egress backup configuration |
Configuration of multiple egresses and primary and backup egresses in a multi-fabric environment. |

Container computing configuration |
Collaboration with container services by using CNI and Calico plug-ins. |
Intelligent analysis service configuration |
Configuration of intelligent analysis services in data centers. |
Simulation service configuration |
Deployment and use of simulation services. |
Maintenance and monitoring configuration |
Configuration of maintenance and monitoring in an AD-DC environment. |
Service deployment flow
Figure 1 shows the deployment and configuration flow for the AD-DC solutions. Some configurations in the configuration guides are only for demonstration, such as IP address planning and resource ID planning. You need to plan those configurations based on your environment.

Set up the networks
Deploy Unified Platform and its components
To use the AD-DC solutions, you must deploy Unified Platform and its components. For more information, see AD-DC 6.3 Unified Platform and Components Deployment Guide.
Configure the underlay network
Before you deploy overlay services, provision switching devices and incorporate them from the controller. For more information, see AD-DC 6.3 Underlay Network Configuration Guide.
You can configure the underlay network manually or use automatic underlay network deployment.
Configure security resources and services
Provision security devices and incorporate them from the controller if security services are required. The configuration guides for security services and resources introduce configuration procedures for different security gateway models and service chains. For more information, see AD-DC 6.3 Security Service Resource Configuration Guide.
Configure services
Configure OpenStack collaboration or configure services in a non-cloud environment as needed.
Configure services in a non-cloud environment
Perform this ask if the controller does not collaborate with a cloud platform. The controller acts as the network management center.
To configure basic services on the controller in a non-cloud environment, see AD-DC 6.3 Solution Service Configuration Guide in Non-Cloud Scenarios.
Configure OpenStack collaboration
To configure collaboration with the OpenStack cloud platform, see AD-DC 6.3 OpenStack Cloud Scenario Service Configuration Guide.
Configure multiple egresses in a multi-fabric environment
Perform this task to configure multiple fabrics or multiple egresses.
To configure multiple egresses and egress backup, see AD-DC 6.3 Multiple Egresses and Primary & Backup Egresses Configuration Guide.
Configure container computing services
If container computing services are required, configure CNI and Calico container services as described in AD-DC 6.3 Container Computing Configuration Guide.
Configure data center interconnection
To interconnect multiple data centers, you can configure data center interconnection on the controller for each data center or on Super Controller. For more information, see AD-DC 6.3 DCI Configuration Guide.
Configure intelligent analysis
Deploy the analyzer if intelligent analysis is required in a single DC and single fabric environment. For more information, see AD-DC 6.3 SeerAnalyzer Configuration Guide.
Configure simulation services
To verify tenant services before deployment, simulate the tenant services as described in H3C SeerEngine-DC Simulation Network Environment Deployment Guide.
Configure maintenance and monitoring
To configure maintenance and monitoring, see AD-DC 6.3 Operations Monitoring Configuration Guide.
