Introduction
The H3C EWPXM1XG20 Ethernet interface expansion module provides expansion ports for the WX3840X access controllers.

The module provides two 10-GE SFP+ fiber ports.

SFP+ fiber ports
The transceiver modules that have MM and SM in their names support multi-mode optical fibers and single-mode optical fibers, respectively.
The SFP+ transceiver modules supported by the module are subject to change over time. For the most recent list of SFP+ transceiver modules available for the module, contact marketing staff or Technical Support.

Installing and removing the module
CAUTION: · Do not use excessive force or touch the surface-mounted components directly with hands when you install or remove the module. · To avoid system anomalies, do not hot swap the module. |
Before installing or removing the module, prepare the ESD wrist strap and other tools that might be used.
Installing the module
IMPORTANT: · Keep the removed filler panel secure for future use. · Do not hot swap the module. Before you install or remove the module, make sure the device is powered off. |
To install an EWPXM1XG20:
1. Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure the strap makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2. Unpack the module.
3. Loosen the screws on the filler panel, and then remove the filler panel.
4. Insert the module into the target slot, and then fasten the captive screws.

Removing the module
If you are not to install a new module after removing the original one, install a filler panel in the slot.
To remove an EWPXM1XG20:
1. Wear an ESD wrist strap and make sure the strap makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded.
2. Loosen the captive screws on the module.
3. Pull the module slowly out of the slot.
