H3C Ranks Second in China’s Server Market in H1 2026, Defying Market Headwinds

    30-10-2026

International Data Corporation (IDC) has released its China Server Market Tracking Report for the first half of 2026. H3C, a subsidiary of Unisplendour Corporation, delivered strong performance in the period, ranking second in China’s overall server market. Its x86 servers also took second place with a 15.6% revenue market share. Against a backdrop of subdued shipment volumes across the industry, H3C achieved dual growth in both revenue and shipment volume for its server business. Specifically, revenue from x86 servers surged by 55.8% year‑on‑year, outpacing all major domestic vendors, while shipments increased 5.3%, making H3C the only major domestic vendor to record positive shipment growth.

Strong Revenue Growth and Resilient Shipment Performance

China’s server market saw revenue growth but came under pressure in terms of shipment volumes in H1 2026. According to IDC, the revenue of China’s x86 server market increased by 26.0% year on year, while unit shipments declined 14.3%. Against this backdrop, H3C delivered strong results. Revenue from its x86 servers jumped 55.8% year on year, ranking first among major domestic vendors and far exceeding the industry average. Overall server revenue grew 53.3% year on year.

H3C also achieved shipment growth despite the market downturn. In H1 2026, H3C’s x86 server shipments grew 5.3% year‑on‑year, and total server shipments increased 4.6% year‑on‑year. It was the only vendor among China’s top‑5 server suppliers to achieve positive shipment growth. Its x86 server market share climbed 3.0 percentage points year‑on‑year, further consolidating its competitive edge. In Q2 2026, H3C’s x86 server market share rose further to 16.6%, firmly holding its second‑place position in the market.

Empowered by Full‑Stack Technical Synergy: SuperPod Technology Unleashes Ultimate Computing Performance

To address diverse business demands including trillion‑parameter large models, training‑and‑inference integration for intelligent agents, general‑purpose operations and data analytics, H3C keeps upgrading its server product portfolio to enrich computing power supply. At the NAVIGATE 2026 Summit, H3C unveiled the UniPoD S80000 Super‑node, an engineering benchmark embodying the “Compute × Connectivity” philosophy. Rather than simple hardware stacking, it represents a system‑level intelligent computing solution integrating computing, networking, storage, cloud, security and operation‑maintenance capabilities.

The product line supports specifications ranging from 32‑card to 1024‑card configurations. A single cabinet enables high‑density deployment of up to 128 cards, and clusters can be flexibly scaled to 16,384 cards. In‑depth hardware‑software co‑optimization delivers a 70% improvement in training performance and a three‑fold boost in inference performance. It helps customers achieve optimal Token cost‑effectiveness and provides solid support for constructing intelligent agents and large‑scale AI clusters.

H3C’s product portfolio caters to general‑purpose computing, intelligent computing and workload‑optimized scenarios, meeting varied workload requirements for both traditional operations and intelligent agents. Its offerings fit the construction needs of intelligent computing centers, digital government platforms, telecom operators, the financial sector and manufacturing industries. They enable customers to flexibly match computing resources and improve resource utilization efficiency. Boasting an open and decoupled product architecture, H3C supports mainstream domestic and overseas heterogeneous computing chips including CPUs, GPUs and NPUs. It continuously optimizes hardware‑software coordination, lowers adaptation costs for AI infrastructure and underpins intelligent upgrading across all industries.

Advancing Green Computing: Accelerating Large‑scale Adoption of Liquid‑cooling Technologies

To cut energy consumption and heat‑dissipation costs brought by high‑density computing deployments, H3C keeps innovating liquid‑cooling technologies and integrates high‑efficiency heat dissipation into server hardware design. It has built a full portfolio of liquid‑cooling products and solutions covering cold‑plate and immersion cooling technologies.

The H3C S90000 high‑density full‑liquid‑cooled server supports six high‑performance CPUs within 1U rack space. One cabinet delivers over 40,000 CPU cores of computing power. Adopting a fan‑less full‑liquid‑cooled design, it achieves a PUE as low as 1.04, striking a balance between high computing density and energy efficiency. Through coordinated optimization of liquid‑cooling technologies and computing architectures, H3C enhances computing density per unit space and energy efficiency, promoting large‑scale deployment of green computing infrastructure.

With a comprehensive computing product portfolio, mature industry‑specific solutions and large‑scale delivery capabilities, H3C serves customers across government, telecom operator, finance, internet, manufacturing and education sectors. Its solutions cover diverse computing scenarios such as core enterprise operations, cloud computing, and AI training and inference, building extensive industry expertise and large‑scale real‑world implementation experience.

Going forward, H3C will keep driving innovation in super‑node technology, heterogeneous computing coordination and green liquid‑cooling, delivering more efficient, reliable and competitive computing products and solutions for customers.
