    ——PLAION Global Technology Leadership

With over 25 years of industry legacy, PLAION stands as a leading European game publisher, delivering entertainment experiences through 40+ branches across more than 15 countries. Its operations span game development studios, film production units, and merchandise hubs.

To accelerate its next phase of innovation, PLAION partnered with H3C to transform its network infrastructure into a dynamic, intelligent platform capable of scaling with creative ambition while ensuring enterprise-grade reliability.

The Pivotal Challenge: When Infrastructure Limits Ambition

The rapid growth of PLAION business and commitment of the company to maintain high-quality service for its clients exposed the need to eliminate critical network constraints: outdated devices hindered further expansion, manual lifecycle management consumed valuable IT resources, and rigid architectures failed to support intelligent collaboration.

The urgent need was clear - a future-proof network combining cutting-edge SD-WAN automation, AI-driven operations, and enterprise-grade support to power their creative vision globally.

    H3C's SD-WAN Transformation for PLAION

PLAION specialists reviewed network modernization options from different vendors, and settled on the solution of H3C, a leading provider of digital and artificial intelligence solutions. H3C implemented a comprehensive SD-WAN transformation for PLAION, deploying H3C SR6602 routers at dual headquarters in Germany and Austria alongside H3C MSR3600 series devices across all branches.

The solution leveraged a cloud-native architecture with a public cloud-based controller operating on a subscription model, eliminating upfront costs and on-premises data center dependencies while enabling Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) for automated device deployment. This approach utilized DHCP/TFTP protocols for plug-and-play branch setup and centralized policy orchestration, ensuring seamless operations across 40+ global sites.

The migration followed a phased strategy: initial IPSec VPN tunnels provided immediate connectivity between HQs and branches, later upgraded to SD-WAN via H3C’s Cloudnet platform. Key outcomes included automated configuration for new studios (completed within hours), centralized cloud console management, and preserved legacy investments during the transition. Ultimately, this transformed PLAION’s network from a constraint into a catalyst for global creative collaboration—enabling scalable, uncompromised innovation.

    Forging the Future Together

The implemented project goes beyond technology——it’s a shared vision to redefine digital innovation. Combining H3C’s SD-WAN expertise with PLAION’s creativity sets a new global benchmark for intelligent networking.

Together, we are pioneering AI-driven, cloud-native solutions that transform content creation and delivery—shaping tomorrow’s digital landscape while delivering exceptional value today.

Where technology meets creativity, the future unfolds.
