The power supplies support asset management. You can use the display device manuinfo command to view the name, sequence number, and vendor of the power supplies you have installed on the switch.
On an S5130S-30C-EI-G or S5130S-54C-EI-G switch, you can install one power supply, or two power supplies for 1+1 redundancy. The switch supports installation of both an AC power supply and a DC power supply.

To connect cables to the ports on interface modules, follow these guidelines:
· Use category 6A or above cables and connectors.
· Do not bundle cables in their first 20 m (65.62 ft).
· Separate power cords and twisted pair cables at and around the distribution frame.
· For ports adjacent to one another on the device, the peer ports on the distribution frame is preferably not adjacent, for example:
¡ If the device connects to one distribution frame, connect port 1 on the device to port 1 on the distribution frame and port 2 on the device to port 3 on the distribution frame.
¡ If the device connects to two distribution frames, connect port 1 on the device to port 1 on distribution frame 1 and port 2 on the device to port 1 on distribution frame 2.
· Keep the device and cables away from the interference source.

Mode LED
The mode LED (MODE) works in conjunction with the port status LEDs to show more information about the switch.
· The mode LED indicates the type of information that the port status LEDs are showing.
· You can use the mode button to change the indication of the mode LED.
¡ S5130S-30C-EI-G and S5130S-54C-EI-G switches—The mode LED changes in color and indication after you press the mode button and keeps that state until you press the mode button again.
¡ Other switch models—After you press the mode button to change the mode LED status into flashing green or flashing yellow, the mode LED keeps in that state for only 45 seconds and then turns steady green automatically.

Interface module status LED
The S5130S-30C-EI-G and S5130S-54C-EI-G switches each provide an interface module slot on the rear panel. The interface module status LED on the front panel indicates the operating status of the interface module.

Port LED on an interface module
An interface module provides a LED for each port. For more information about the LEDs, see the manual for the interface module.
Status LED on a fan module
The LSPM1FANSA and LSPM1FANSB fan modules each provide a LED to indicate the fan module operating status.
Cloudnet management status LED
After you execute the push-button mode enable command on an S5130S-10T4X-EI-Q-G, S5130S-10PT4X-EI-Q-G, S5130S-16T4X-EI-Q-G, or S5130S-28T4X-EI-Q-G switch, the operations that can be performed by pressing the mode button depend on the duration of the press.
· 5 to 10 seconds—Connect the switch to or disconnect the switch from Cloudnet.
· Less than 5 seconds—Change the type of information that the port LEDs are showing.
· More than 10 seconds—Invalid operation.

Buttons
Mode button
You can use the mode button to change the indication of the mode LED and cloud management status LED. For more information about the mode LED, see "Mode LED." For more information about the cloud management status LED, see "Cloudnet management status LED."
Reset button
The S5130S-10PT4X-EI-Q-G, S5130S-28T4X-EI-Q-G, and S5130S-16T4X-EI-Q-G switch each provide a reset button on the front panel. The S5130S-10T4X-EI-Q-G switch provides a reset button on the rear panel. Table4-29 shows the description for the reset button.

5 Cooling system
To dissipate heat timely and enhance system stability, the switch uses a high-performance cooling system. Consider the site ventilation design when you plan the installation site for the switch.

CAUTION: To ensure adequate heat dissipation for an S5130S-30C-EI-G or S5130S-54C-EI-G switch, follow these guidelines: · You must install two fan modules of the same model for the switch. · If a fan module operates abnormally (for example, it is in the absent, fault, inconsistent airflow direction, or being just inserted state), the other fan module will operate at the highest speed. |
