H3C Empowers Phranakhon Rajabhat University to Build a Future-Ready Smart Examination Center

Phranakhon Rajabhat University (PNRU) is a landmark institution in Thailand’s educational history. Established in 1892 by King Chulalongkorn (King Rama V), it was the nation’s first teachers’ training school and has been a cornerstone of Thai education for over a century.

In the digital age, PNRU aimed to maintain its high educational standards by establishing a Smart Examination Center. This required a solution that integrated cloud with AI applications, supported by highly-concurrent exam terminals through a robust network, and ensured security at egress points. Additionally, to enhance the university’s operational and maintenance efficiency, an intelligent network management solution was essential.

After thorough on-site investigation and research, H3C proposed a full-stack customized solution integrating HCI, network, security, and iMC management platform. This solution stood out among those from various vendors and was acclaimed by the examination center project team as the most suitable one for their needs. The collaboration successfully delivered a future-ready digital examination platform, featuring:

1. High-Density Wireless Network: Over 40 Wi-Fi Access Points (APs) were deployed to ensure seamless connectivity for all exam participants, even in high-density environments.

2. Secure Network Environment: The H3C F1000 firewall, combined with Enhanced Identity Authentication (EIA) functions, created a secure and reliable exam environment, safeguarding against potential security threats.

3. Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI): The UIS 2000 G6, a hyper-converged solution with two nodes in one device, enabled fast deployment and high availability, integrating computing, storage, and networking resources into a unified platform.

4. Intelligent Management: H3C’s Intelligent Management Center (IMC) and Wireless Service Manager (WSM) offered automated deployment and intelligent operations, simplifying network management and ensuring optimal performance.

Building on this successful collaboration, PNRU examination center and H3C plan to further explore the expansion of cloud AI data centers and enhance campus network innovation. This includes upgrading the wireless network and expanding the existing data centers to support more research centers and applications.

Through this partnership, PNRU examination center has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility equipped with cutting-edge ICT solutions. By addressing key challenges in connectivity, security, and management, H3C has enabled PNRU examination center to provide a seamless and secure exam experience for students. This collaboration not only enhances the operational efficiency of the exam center but also lays a solid foundation for PNRU’s future growth and digital transformation journey, ensuring its continued leadership in educational innovation.
