H3C Leads the Way in China’s 200G/400G Switch Market

H3C ranked first in China’s 200G/400G switch market with a share of 48.4 percent during the fourth quarter of 2021, said the IDC China Quarterly Ethernet Switch Tracker, 2021Q4.

H3C Seizes the Initiative to Explore 400G Switch Market and Is Now a Pacesetter

H3C’s success in maintaining a leading position in the market can be attributed to its forward-looking deployments and keen insights into the industry. In 2016, H3C already started the research and development (R&D) of 400G core switches, which gave it a head start over competitors in the field.

So far, H3C has launched a full range of 400G data center switches, among which the S12500 series is the best known series of its data center products. H3C S12500R Data Center Switch provides 48-port 400G line card per slot and has advanced network features such as SRv6 and FlexE. Equipped with the latest Comware V9 network operation system, it can support flexible deployment of third-party customized applications.

The expansion of data centers has made the scalability of network architecture an important requirement of data center, which led to the emergence of box switches. Compared with chassis switches with the same performance, box switches occupy smaller space, consume less power, and feature faster deployment and simpler operation and maintenance (O&M). H3C S9800 series, a flagship box switch series, provide LAN/SAN converged forwarding capability and 128*100G and 64*400G ports with ultra-high forwarding performance, which can be applied to 25G/100G model and 100G/400G model, respectively.

Equipped with lossless Ethernet technology, S9800 can greatly improve network throughput efficiency and realize Ethernet transmission without packet loss in scenarios such as RDMA and full-flash storage.

H3C Initiates R&D of 800G Network, Facilitating Green Data Center Construction

H3C is also a frontrunner in the R&D of next-generation network technologies. As IDC predicted, the rapid growth in the number of data centers before 2025 will be attributed entirely to 400G and 800G networks.
