Overview
The H3C WX3000E series access controller engine and switching engine are developed based on the Open Application Architecture (OAA). You can log in to the access controller engine through the console port on the device and you can redirect to the operating system of the switching engine through OAP. The terminal display interface will be switched from the command line interface on the access controller engine to the operating interface of the operating system of the switching engine. You can then manage the system and application software on the switching engine. To return to the command line interface (CLI) on the access controller engine, press Ctrl+K.
The access controller engine and switching engine are integrated to work as one device. From the perspective of an SNMP UDP domain-based Network Management System (NMS), however, the access controller engine and switching engine are separate SNMP agents. They have different software systems and manage their own MIB objects. To access an SNMP agent, the NMS must get the IP address of the management interface on the agent.
By default, both the access controller engine and switching engine are configured with a management IP address.
Follow these steps to specify the management IP address for the switching engine:

Switching from the switching engine to the access controller engine

CAUTION: Do not switch between the switching engine and access controller engine frequently during a short period of time. Frequent switching might cause the number of Web connections to reach the limit. After the limit is reached, a Web connection can be established only after a period that equals the Web connection idle timeout elapses. To change the Web connection idle timeout, see the chapter " Device basic information configuration." To log off online Web users, access the CLI and use the free web-users all command in user view. |
By default, the management IP address is configured for both the access controller engine and switching engine. To log in to the access controller engine from the switching engine, click Wlan Engine on the web interface of the switching engine and then enter the login settings.
