Appendix B PoE power supply
PoE power supply
The wireless switch supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which can use twisted pairs to provide –48 VDC power for the powered devices (PDs), such as IP phones, WLAN APs, security devices, and Bluetooth APs, attached to the wireless switch.
· As the power sourcing equipment (PSE), the wireless switch supports IEEE802.3af,802.3at and is compliant with some PDs that do not comply with 802.3af.
· When the wireless switch provides power through fixed copper Ethernet ports, the maximum power supply distance is 100 m (328.08 ft).
· The maximum output power that an Ethernet port can provide is 30 W. When the wireless switch uses AC power source, the maximum overall output power is 180 W.
