1.1 OAP Module Configuration Commands
1.1.1 oap connect slot
Syntax
oap connect slot slot-number

Parameters
slot-number: Number of the slot where an OAP module resides.
Description
Use the oap connect slot command to redirect from the device to the OAP module.
You can press Ctrl+k to return from the operating system on the OAP module to the command line interface on the device.
Examples
# Redirect from the command line interface on the device to the operating system of the OAP module in slot 3.
<Sysname> oap connect slot 3
Connected to OAP!
# After viewing the above information, press Enter to switch to the operating system of the OAP module.

# Press Ctrl+K to return from the operating system on the OAP module to the command line interface on the device.

1.1.2 oap management-ip
Syntax
oap management-ip ip-address slot slot-number
undo oap management-ip slot slot-number

Parameters
slot slot-number: Number of the slot where an OAP module resides.
ip-address: Management IP address of the OAP module.
Description
Use the oap management-ip command to configure the management IP address of an OAP module.
Use the undo oap management-ip command to restore the system default.
By default, the management IP address of an OAP module is not configured.
When you use network management station (NMS) to manage an OAP module, you must first configure the management IP address of the OAP module.
Caution:
l Before configuring the management IP address of the OAP module on the switch side, you must configure the same IP address on the OAP module side; otherwise, the NMS cannot access the OAP module through this management IP address.
l For operations on the OAP module side, refer to the corresponding document of OAP module.

# Configure the management IP address of the OAP module in slot 3 as 1.1.1.1.

oap reboot slot slot-number

Parameters
slot-number: Number of the slot where an OAP module resides.
Description
Use the oap reboot slot command to reset the system on an OAP module, which is equal to resetting the OAP module by pressing the reset button on the OAP module.
Caution:
l Reset of the OAP module may cause data loss and service interruption. Therefore, before resetting the OAP module, you need to save the configurations of the OAP module operating system and shut down the OAP module operating system to avoid service interruption and hardware data loss.
l For operations on the OAP module side, refer to the corresponding document of OAP module.
Examples
# Reset the system on the OAP module in slot 3.
<Sysname> oap reboot slot 3
This command will recover the OAP from shutdown or other failed state.
Warning: This command may lose the data on the hard disk if the OAP is not being shut down!
