In recent years, due to the booming development of digital economy and lower electricity cost, the investment market for data centers in Uzbekistan is expanding rapidly and is highly favored by global IDC manufacturers. At the same time, the Uzbekistan government has also successively introduced measures to promote digital transformation and attract foreign investment in the information technology field. This has created a favorable business environment for data center suppliers, resulting in increased investment and expansion in this market. Against this background, as a state-owned IDC carrier under the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, UNICON plans to further expand its own IDC scale, broaden the service types of IDC business, improve the company's overall competitiveness, and optimize the profit level, in order to provide efficient, flexible, low-cost, and safe and controllable IT resources and Cloud services for domestic government, enterprise and carrier customers.

Recently, as the leader in digital solutions, H3C, based on the overall capabilities demonstrated by its full-stack cloud data center infrastructure solution, successfully gained the recognition of UNICON. As the sole supplier of UNICON's cloud data center, H3C has carefully crafted a whole set of IaaS cloud solutions, including Cloud OS, CAS, OneStor, two-socket servers such as H3C R4900/4700/4300, AD-DC SDN controller, a complete set of data center network equipment SR66/S9850/S6850, security equipment, modular computer rooms and other products, helping UNICON successfully complete the business transformation, with the ability of full-stack IaaS-level IT resources and cloud services.

All in One: A Flexible, Efficient, Safe and Reliable One-stop Cloud Solution

With the booming development of Uzbekistan domestic IT requirement and the successive entry of more and more advanced global IDC providers, the existing IT infrastructure of UNICON is difficult to meet the needs of its major customers and also lacks competitiveness. The specific problems are mainly presented at two aspects. Firstly, the existing IDC rack leasing has reached its peak and cannot meet the need for its business expansion, and the rack facilities are relatively old and not energy-efficient and environmentally friendly enough. Secondly, its IDC business model is relatively traditional, still remaining in the physical leasing model, and compared with the new type of IDC cloud providers, there are deficiencies in terms of business flexibility, expansibility, and cost-effectiveness.

For UNICON, its eagerness for new technologies is quite strong, but it lacks of the integration and operation capabilities related to new technologies. They hope to introduce a supplier that can provide a one-stop cloud data center infrastructure for the expansion of the current IDC business, and this supplier has rich experience in cloud service operation to share. UNICON is also willing to cooperate closely with this supplier in the subsequent IDC cloud business operation process, and based on the obtained operation experience, form a professional operation team to deeply cultivate the IDC market in Uzbekistan.

H3C successfully won this project with its own extraordinary technical strength. H3C helped UNICON conduct a detailed ROI analysis for the existing IDC business and the new cloud business, layer by layer, helping UNICON sort out the clear business logic and carefully crafted a complete set of one-stop cloud IaaS solution for UNICON. With the full-stack IaaS technical capabilities and operation capabilities of the H3C CloudOS cloud solution and the complete product strength of H3C in the data center scenario, UNICON not only improved the overall capacity of its own IDC but also successfully achieved business transformation, expanded the IT product and service catalog, optimized the business profit margin, and enhanced the overall competitiveness.

    Constructing a Solid ICT Cornerstone

Specifically, in terms of infrastructure, UNICON needs to ensure that the data center has high availability and stability, including providing reliable power supply, precise air conditioning system to maintain a suitable environment, and complete fire protection and security facilities. H3C IC8000 modular intelligent data center is a new generation of highly efficient and energy-saving data centers, adopting an All-In design concept, an integrated design idea, and an extremely simplified deployment style, integrating the cabinet system, power supply and distribution system, refrigeration system, and monitoring system, meeting the deployment needs of various integrated delivery computer rooms. The modular data center design is standardized, the component design is standardized, the prefabrication is factory-based, and the deployment is modular, effectively reducing the communication cost for UNICON, saving time and improving the efficienc. This product has been widely deployed in key industries such as the government, banks, and carriers.

In terms of IT hardware products, high-quality and excellent-performance servers, storage and other equipment need to be provided, and they can be maintained and updated in a timely manner. The basic products of UNICON's cloud service are cloud hosts and cloud disks, and these two products have relatively high requirements for computing servers and storage servers. H3C R4900 G5 as an independently developed, mainstream 2U two-socket rack-mounted server, based on the Intel® Xeon® Scalable family processor, can provide more excellent performance to improve the productivity of the data center. 96% power efficiency and the standard working temperature design of 5°C-45°C provide users with higher energy efficiency return. By supporting technologies such as TCM/TPM trusted computing module, trusted silicon root and firmware consistency detection, it provides more reliable industrial design, combined with H3C UniServer R4300 G3 with a 4U model and multi-hard drive design, H3C greatly improves the SDS storage expansion ability and effectively guarantees a significant increase in the work efficiency and space utilization rate of the data center.

In terms of network services, high-speed, low-latency and stable data center network connections should be provided, with multi-line access capabilities and sufficient bandwidth resources, and network resources can be flexibly configured to meet the different needs of customers. In the network aspect, H3C has provided UNICON with a whole set of AD-DC data center SDN solutions, using the GUI interface and through the unified digital chassis to realize the integration of management, control and analysis, and the whole-network coordination and unity, graphical and visual orchestration to complete the end-to-end business closed loop from the architecture design simulation, network construction to operation guarantee, providing users with a one-stop service. Based on the intelligent control module SeerEngine to realize the configuration and service automation of network and security equipment, and the network follows the cloud; through the intelligent analysis module SeerAnalyzer to realize the omni-directional perception of the data center, and combined with the AI and big data capabilities to make faults nowhere to hide; at the same time, H3C uses the series of data center switches such as S9850/S6850 to build a Fabric network with super-large bandwidth, lower latency and zero packet loss, helping UNICON build an intelligent and on-demand new-generation data center to meet the needs of rapid service delivery in the cloud computing era.

Close Cooperation: Professional International Team, Deeply Cultivating the Industry

H3C always prioritizes the demands of its customers as the guide and provides high-quality technical support in a timely manner. Up to now, the number of H3C certified overseas partners exceeds 1200, and 41 overseas spare parts centers have also been established, with a service coverage area of 181 countries and regions, H3C has the complete end-to-end ability from market expansion, project delivery to service support.

In the entire stage of the overall cloud solution pre-integration and solution delivery, the support provided by the technical team of the R&D and service departments of the H3C is an essential part for achieving high-quality service. The team closely follows the international market development strategy of "technological innovation" and "ecological cooperation" of the group. While providing a rich supply of digital products and solutions, it actively conducts characteristic solution designs together with ecological partners, resulting in solutions with industry foresight.

In the future, H3C will continue to deepen its corporate strategies of “AI in ALL” and “AI for ALL”, focus on the needs of industry digital construction, and closely combine its own cutting-edge digital products and overseas layout advantages to strongly escort the development of the global economy towards the digital era.
