To connect cables to the ports on interface modules, follow these guidelines:

·     Use category 6A or above cables and connectors.

·     Do not bundle cables in their first 20 m (65.62 ft).

·     Separate power cords and twisted pair cables at and around the distribution frame.

·     For ports adjacent to one another on the device, the peer ports on the distribution frame is preferably not adjacent, for example:

¡     If the device connects to one distribution frame, connect port 1 on the device to port 1 on the distribution frame and port 2 on the device to port 3 on the distribution frame.

¡     If the device connects to two distribution frames, connect port 1 on the device to port 1 on distribution frame 1 and port 2 on the device to port 1 on distribution frame 2.

·     Keep the device and cables away from the interference source.

After you execute the push-button mode enable command on an S5130S-10T4X-EI-Q-G, S5130S-10PT4X-EI-Q-G, S5130S-16T4X-EI-Q-G, or S5130S-28T4X-EI-Q-G switch, the operations that can be performed by pressing the mode button depend on the duration of the press.

·     5 to 10 seconds—Connect the switch to or disconnect the switch from Cloudnet.

·     Less than 5 seconds—Change the type of information that the port LEDs are showing.

·     More than 10 seconds—Invalid operation.

5 Cooling system

To dissipate heat timely and enhance system stability, the switch uses a high-performance cooling system. Consider the site ventilation design when you plan the installation site for the switch.

To ensure adequate heat dissipation for an S5130S-30C-EI-G or S5130S-54C-EI-G switch, follow these guidelines:

·     You must install two fan modules of the same model for the switch.

·     If a fan module operates abnormally (for example, it is in the absent, fault, inconsistent airflow direction, or being just inserted state), the other fan module will operate at the highest speed.
