Chassis views
IMPORTANT: · To install a USB drive on the L5000-AD520-G, L5000-AD540-G, or L5000-AD560-G, make sure the USB drive has a minimum of 32 GB storage space. · After you use the display device manuinfo command on the L5000-AD560-G to view its electrical label information, the output shows that each fan tray has two electrical labels. For example, fan tray 0 has the Fan 0 and Fan 1 electrical labels. · The actual marks on the chassis might be slightly different from those in the figures. |

L5000-AD520-G/L5000-AD540-G/L5000-AD560-G
An L5000-AD520-G, L5000-AD540-G, or L5000-AD560-G provides the following ports and slots on the front panel:
· Four interface module slots.
· Two USB ports.
· One management Ethernet port.
· One console port.
· One reset button.
· Two drive slots.

Cooling system
The device uses front-to-rear airflow for heat dissipation. Plan the installation site for the device based on its airflow direction for adequate ventilation. Make sure the following requirements are met:
· When you install the device in a standard 19-inch rack, follow these guidelines:
¡ Ensure a minimum clearance of 100 mm (3.94 in) around the air inlet and outlet vents of the chassis.
¡ Ensure a distance of 1U (44.45 mm, or 1.75 in) between the chassis and other devices.
· The installation site has a good cooling system.

High-density interface module views
The NS-FPIM-CQG4TG16GT16AL and NS-FPIM-CQG4TG16GT16BL high-density interface modules are similar in appearance. This section uses the NS-FPIM-CQG4TG16GT16AL as an example.
A high-density interface module provides sixteen 10/100/1000BASE-T copper Ethernet ports, sixteen 10GBASE-R fiber Ethernet ports (including two HA ports), and four 100GBASE-R fiber Ethernet ports.

NOTE: A high-density interface module occupies subslots 1 to 4. To install a high-density interface module, first remove the filler panels from the subslots. Then, loosen the three slide rail mounting screws and remove the three slide rails from the chassis. Finally, insert the high-density interface module and fasten the captive screws on it. |

Power supplies
The device comes with power supply slot PWR0 installed with a filler panel and power supply slot PWR1 empty.
You can install one power supply, or two power supplies in 1+1 redundancy for the device. To install two power supplies for the device, make sure they are the same model.

5 Installing the device
This document covers the views and specifications of the device and removable components, slots, interface numbering, and LEDs. For more information about the installation method and procedure, see the installation guide for the product.
The 1U device can be installed in a 19-inch rack by using front and rear mounting brackets.
You can attach the rear mounting brackets to the rack with the wide flange inside or outside the rack. Table5-1 shows the distance between the front and rear rack posts when you attach rear mounting brackets to the rack.
