I. Range of Application for Anti-Counterfeit Labels:

For your legal benefits and to prevent counterfeit H3C products from disturbing the market order, New H3C Technology Co., Ltd. ("New H3C") started putting anti-counterfeit labels on the body of partial H3C products from May 10, 2010:

1. Anti-counterfeit label-A shall be put on the body of H3C hosts (for Chinese version and Chinese-Foreign version and Foreign version only, other than VIP version).

2. Anti-counterfeit label-B shall be put on the body of H3C optical modules (for Chinese version and Chinese-Foreign version and Foreign version only, other than VIP version).

Note: H3C brand optical module refers to the optical module that has been professionally tested by H3C and does not cause compatibility problems when used with H3C brand host. The body of optical modules may bear a H3C logo or a third-party logo.

3. After H3C's evaluation, other H3C products (including but without limitation to: memory bank, hard drive, CPU and others) do not need to bear anti-counterfeit labels on their body.

You can identify the authenticity of H3C products via the anti-counterfeit label on the product body and/or Anti-Counterfeit Barcode Query System to better protect your legal benefits.

II. Identification Methods of Anti-Counterfeit Labels

1. Anti-counterfeit label-A

1.1 Anti-counterfeit label-A (OLD version) can be seen from different angles to different reflective images, as shown in the figure below:

1.2 Anti-counterfeit label-A (NEW version) can be seen from different angles to different reflective images, as shown in the figure below:

1.3 Anti-counterfeit label-A is 33.2 mm*14 mm in size, comprising plain and secret codes (concealed by coating).

1.4 If a H3C host bear an anti-counterfeit label on its body, then the outside of disposal packing box shall bear a label of Counterfeit-proof Noticeas well. See the figure below:

2. Anti-counterfeit label-B:

2.1 Anti-counterfeit label-B (OLD version) can be seen from different angles to different reflective images, as shown in the figure below:

2.2 Anti-counterfeit label-B (NEW version) can be seen from different angles to different reflective images, as shown in the figure below:

2.3 Anti-counterfeit label-B is 7 mm*5 mm in size, without plain and secret codes.

2.4 Anti-counterfeit label-B does not have any secret code or plain code, so you are suggested to use "Display transceiver interface" order on the software interface of H3C hosts to read the H3C optical modules' information.

H3C hosts will read the information of the optical modules you use. If the information read by H3C hosts is not H3C optical modules', H3C hosts will take the initiative to send warning messages to the log host and network management software.
