H3C Attends SHAI2020, Showcases Remarkable Performance in Smart City Construction08-09-2020
The third International Conference on Image, Video Processing and Artificial Intelligence, also known as SHAI, kicked off in Shanghai recently. As an outstanding enterprise in the AI sector, H3C joined the event upon invitation. At the SHAI, H3C was awarded a prize for the most innovative smart city solution, which demonstrated the leading position of the company in this field.
Applying AI technologies to urban governance and industrial development, H3C has developed a philosophy for smart city construction that centers on “mankind” and “intelligence”. By giving bigger role to data, the company aims to further increase the sense of happiness for urban dwellers.
In Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone
H3C has tailored a whole-life-cycle Big Data platform for Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone that breaks the data barriers among 36 units in the zone and gathers 500 million pieces of government affair data. Besides, the company is also digging into the value of data with AI and other technologies, making great strides in urban management and governance.
For instance, H3C has built a credit assessment platform for the industrial development zone that analyzes enterprises' relevant records with Big Data and AI technology and builds multi-dimensional images for them, so as to simplify approval procedures based on their respective credit performance. By doing so, the industrial development zone bid a farewell to the previous "one-size-fits-all" model and thus created a better business environment.
A smart city operation center built by H3C is now functioning as a "digital brain" for the city's urban management and services. It is able to analyze the city's data in an overall and dynamic manner, so as to offer support for the decision-making in urban management, as well as public services. It has not only accelerated the city's implementation of the remote approval policy and the building of a universal online platform for government services, but also laid a solid digital foundation for the city's urban service mobile application.
By integrating basic information about pedestrians, vehicles, roads and cases with AI and digital twin technologies, H3C has largely alleviated the traffic congestion in Chongqing's Liang Jiang New Area and reduced the time for accident handling and traffic violation discovery, helping the city get rid of its old image of bad traffic performance.
So far, H3C has developed a smart city construction system based on Cloud with AI Computing Power that covers four major areas: digital government, smart industry, intelligent governance and livelihood service. The system has been applied in multiple provinces, cities, districts and counties across China, including Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Chengdu, Zhengzhou and Lianyungang.
