In 2020, H3C won bids for carriers' annual centralized procurement of more than 30 key products and saw a 67.15-percent year-on-year growth in revenue from services and products provided for carriers. This year, H3C has continued to reap fruits in tendering for carriers' centralized procurement in many key projects, further consolidating its position as a professional supplier of various products for carriers' IP networks.

This May, H3C won the bid package for China Telecom’s 2021 centralized procurement project of STN (Smart Transport Network)-B products for its 5G bearer network construction, marking H3C’s cooperation with the carrier in the respect for two years in a row.

Later, H3C was shortlisted with the second highest score for China Mobile’s centralized procurement of hardware firewall products for its network resource pool Phase III project, and was awarded 70 percent of the share in the bid to provide China Mobile with servers for engineering calculation for the carrier’s network resource pool Phase III project. Besides, H3C has recently won three bid packages in tendering for China Mobile’s 2021-2022 centralized procurement of high-end routers and switches, securing the largest share of 70 percent in two bid packages and the second largest share in the third one.

H3C began to comprehensively explore the market of 5G IP networks in 2019 and has since achieved all-round breakthroughs. The company’s products and solutions for carriers have been widely deployed across China.

The fact that many of H3C’s products and solutions have won carriers’ bids with large shares for two consecutive years of 2020 and 2021 has proven that the company has been acknowledged for its full-stack technological strength and become a reliable supplier in the market.

H3C has rolled out full-stack products related to 5G cloud and network infrastructure, and is developing itself into a frontrunner in supplying carriers with products and solutions integrating cloud platforms and networks.

To suit carriers’ needs for network construction and business development, H3C has developed a strategy that aims at building up core capabilities in providing products and solutions concerning cloud platforms, networks, and security, and speeding up digital transformation of carriers. Specifically, under the strategy, H3C plans to support carriers with the large-scale construction of network cloud, IT private cloud as well as government and enterprise cloud, and seek innovations and breakthroughs together with carriers in the construction of IP network and mobile communication network.

Meanwhile, H3C has built an end-to-end service delivery team for carriers, and formed brand-new service capabilities to satisfy the particular demands of carriers for equipment delivery and integration as well as operation and maintenance services.

H3C is determined to explore the telecom market and has already gained rich fruits, which have laid a solid foundation for its goal of becoming a frontrunner in the integration of cloud and networks.

This year, H3C attempts to go all out in IP networks operation, striving to win bids for carriers’ centralized procurement of high-end routers, DICT, and intelligent terminals and achieve high-quality development, said Zhang Li, H3C’s Senior Vice President and President of China Business Unit, at the NAVIGATE 2021 held in April, adding that the company will promote its core cluster router series CR19000 among major carriers, and support the long-term development of high-end routers.

The true value and significance of 5G lies in its integration with vertical industries including governments and enterprises, and 5G ToB development is believed to create greater opportunities for telecom operators. Data from International Data Corporation (IDC) indicate that about 38 percent of global GDP is driven by digitization, and the proportion will exceed 70 percent by 2030.

The 5G ToB development requires carriers to work with ecosystem partners, especially those with experience in networks, cloud, as well as the businesses of carriers and vertical industries. H3C, which possesses full-stack technological capabilities for cloud, network and security, as well as valuable experience in the government and enterprise market, is certainly a trustworthy ecosystem partner of carriers.

Based on its insights into the actual needs and pain points of government and enterprise customers, H3C has created 5G virtual private network solution, promoted the application of 5G in government and enterprise market together with carriers, and realized the integration of 5G with industrial Internet, water conservancy and security.
