Introduction
Traps record internal events that occur on the UCP component to provide reference for system analysis and maintenance. Alarm information includes trap OID, trap details, and related parameters.
This document assumes that the readers are familiar with data communications technologies and the UCP component.
UCP alarms include IOM alarms and capacity alarms. This document describes only capacity alarms. For IOM alarms, see H3C U-Center IOM 5.0 Alarm Messages.
Viewing alarm information
1. Log in to Unified Platform. On the top navigation bar, click Monitor. From the navigation pane, select Alarm Management > Active Alarms. The alarm list displays alarms generated by all components on Unified Platform, as shown in Figure 1.
2. To view UCP capacity alarms, click the
icon
at the top right of the page, and then select service
resource capacity alarms from the alarm categories
list.
Table 1 Alarm fields
|
Field |
Description |
|
Severity |
Alarm severity, including Critical, Major, Minor, Warning, and Info. |
|
Alarm Source |
Name and IP address of the resource that generated the alarm. |
|
Alarm Info |
Information in the alarm. If the alarm does not contain any information, this field displays the alarm OID. |
|
Clearing State |
Options: · Active—The alarm has not been cleared. · Auto Cleared—The alarm has been cleared by the system. · Cleared (operator name)—The operator has cleared the alarm. |
|
Ack State |
Options: · Unacked—The alarm has not been acknowledged. · Acked (operator name)—The operator has acknowledged the alarm. |
|
First Alarm |
Time when the system first received the alarm. |
|
Most Recent Time |
Time when the system last received the alarm. |
|
Occurrences |
If you enable duplicate alarm counting in alarm settings, the system adds the number of occurrences for an alarm rather than generating a new alarm when it receives a duplicate alarm. |
|
Duration |
Duration from when the system received an alarm until the alarm was cleared. |
Alarm severities
Table 2 Trap severities
|
Severity level |
Severity |
Description |
|
1 |
Critical |
The issue affects the services provided by the system and requires immediate actions. |
|
2 |
Major |
For example, if a device or resource is completely unavailable and requires restoration, take immediate actions even if the issue occurs outside of working hours. |
|
3 |
Minor |
The issue affects service quality and requires immediate action. |
|
4 |
Warning |
For example, if the service quality for a device or resource deteriorates, you must take immediate actions to restore it to full capacity during working hours. |
|
5 |
Info |
No negative impact on the system. |
