Introduction
In the Internet era, WLAN technologies have become widely deployed and utilized across various sectors such as education, healthcare, office environments, and transportation, thanks to its flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and ease of expansion. With the proliferation of WLANs and a significant increase in the number of WLAN users, there is now a wide variety of WLAN-enabled devices. Different manufacturers have their own approaches to supporting and implementing WLAN, which has led to varying user experiences across different devices when using WLANs.
The H3C WLAN product testing team has conducted comprehensive evaluations of various Wi-Fi 7 devices regarding their support and implementation of WLAN. Utilizing specialized testing techniques and methods unique to WLAN operations, the team has verified aspects such as the devices' radio frequency support capabilities, access capabilities, authentication and encryption, and roaming features. Their tests encompass the current mainstream Wi-Fi 7 device models available in the market, effectively assessing and confirming the compatibility of various Wi-Fi 7 devices.
The market is flooded with a wide variety of wireless endpoint models and types, and manufacturers are continuously launching new endpoints. Consequently, the H3C WLAN product testing team regularly updates their evaluations to include endpoints that were not covered in previous tests. They also update their test reports to reflect these new assessments, ensuring that they stay current with the latest market offerings.
Test endpoints
The tests are conducted on 70 cellphones and 5 wireless network adapters.
