Software Version Used

l iMC PLAT 3.20-R2606L11
l iMC VSM 3.50-R5403
Web interfaces of different versions may vary.
Video Description
This case illustrates how to add a VCX device into the iMC and how to detect IP phones connected to the VCX device.
Before adding a VCX device, you need to log into the VCX device to get its SNMP read-only and read-write community strings, and the password of the root user. These parameters will be used while you add the VCX device.
IP phone detection allows you to add the registered IP phones connected to the target VCX device into the iMC. There are two ways for detecting IP phones.
l Use the IP phone detection function to detect the IP phones (hard phones) that support SIP within a specific network segment.
l Use the VCX device synchronization function to detect the IP phones (both hard and soft phones) registered to a specific VCX device.
Experiment Environment
Ensure that the target VCX device that is connected to a registered IP phone is operating normally.
Recommended Configuration Flow
Step1 Add a VCX device
Step2 Detect IP phones that support SIP
Step3 Synchronize the IP phone information on the VCX device
