About this feature
The EIA component's Portal and Portal GOV.BR to authenticate
Description
The IMC platform integrates with the GOV.BR portal to provide a secure, standardized, and interoperable connection with Brazil’s federal digital identity and service infrastructure.
The integration is based on official GOV.BR APIs and follows federal digital government interoperability standards, enabling reliable user authentication, authorization, and identity validation. Authentication flows leverage GOV.BR identity services using secure protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, ensuring strong identity assurance and compliance with government security policies.
From an architectural perspective, IMC acts as a service consumer, exchanging authentication tokens and validated user attributes through encrypted communication channels (HTTPS/TLS). Access control and session management are handled through token-based mechanisms, allowing seamless Single Sign-On (SSO) and secure access to IMC services.
Key technical capabilities of the integration include:
· Federated identity management via GOV.BR authentication services
· OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect–based authentication flows
· Token-based authorization and session control
· Secure API communication using TLS encryption
· Standardized data exchange, ensuring integrity and consistency of user attributes
· Auditability and traceability, supporting logging and compliance requirements
The integration supports automation of identity verification processes, reduces dependency on manual validations, and ensures alignment with Brazilian digital government policies, including LGPD requirements for data protection, privacy, and controlled data usage.
Overall, this architecture enables IMC solutions to operate securely and natively within the Brazilian digital government ecosystem, ensuring scalability, high availability, and compliance with federal interoperability and cybersecurity standards.
