H3C UIS Hyper-Converged breaks down physical resource barriers with its autosensing architecture. It enables unified management of both x86 and ARM resource pools while simultaneously managing compute, storage, hyper-converged, and AI acceleration nodes. The solution supports physical nodes with different chips, models, configurations, and capabilities. It can flexibly expand local AI models on the HCI management platform and achieve unified management and scheduling of general computing and intelligent computing power.

Efficient storage

H3C UIS HCI allows you to select either multi-replica or erasure coding redundancy policies. It supports erasure coding levels from N+1 to N+4 while maintaining over 80% effective storage space.

Continuous and reliable

Carrier-grade stability and reliability

The system uses a carrier-grade virtualization kernel to achieve microsecond-level kernel latency and second-level fault detection. These carrier-grade technical requirements enhance system stability and reliability. It provides HA technology across physical servers, VMs, operating systems, and application software to ensure stable and reliable operation of application systems.

Fault domain

Fault domains are created based on racks and power supplies. This ensures that data replicas or erasure codes are written to different fault domains. A full rack failure will not affect service continuity.

Comprehensive HA

Provides full-service HA from hosts to VMs and actively monitors application processes. Both manual and automatic restart of applications and VMs are supported, minimizing VM out-of-service time, shortening average failure recovery duration, enhancing system reliability, and reducing maintenance effort.

Anti-wear leveling

To prevent the risk of simultaneous failures when SSDs from the same lot reach their lifespan limits, the system uses a proprietary anti-leveling algorithm. This ensures a wear deviation of over 2% among SSDs in the cluster. It schedules disk replacements by lot to avoid service interruptions.

Secure and trustworthy

Suboptimal network health

Monitors the overall network health between the HCI system and switches in real time, quickly locating and isolate network outages before they spread to minimize fault coverage.

Seamless migration

Dual-modal HCI

H3C UIS system supports managing existing VMware platforms and enables seamless migration, backup, and disaster recovery between H3C and VMware platforms.

Live migration

Supports online migration across hosts, clusters, and storage. Based on postcopy technology, it generates all dirty data on the target side during migration. This significantly reduces migration time for running VMs and improves migration efficiency.
