Break the bounds of traditional architectures and launch cloud services

ZJRC has been exploring cloud services since 2014, and the financial private cloud platform and private cloud of ZJRC were built in 2017 and 2018. Before the transformation, ZJRC carried a "historical IT burden". At that time, the IT systems of prefectural and municipal branches were built and maintained by local technical departments. Lacking of unified planning, the overall architecture was weak and hard to connect to devices. However, H3C CAS virtualization solution solved this problem easily.

Thanks to the powerful compatibility with heterogeneous virtualization, the H3C CAS virtualization platform was fully compatible with the VMware formats, so that service VMs running on various devices in each branch were migrated to H3C CAS platform, thereby greatly improving service online efficiency. In addition, H3C Group also assigned professional and technical teams to support the platform so that migration would not affect daily operation.

With the support of H3C CAS virtualization platform, ZJRC's Fengshou Kechuang cloud was quickly built. At present, Fengshou Kechuang cloud has had two major service clusters: Production and Internet, with 48 deployment nodes. H3C CAS and ONEStor distributed storage provides IaaS support for Fengshou Kechuang cloud. Through a unified operation portal, local branches can easily deliver, manage and operate cloud resources and effectively promote new services.

Build a reliable operation platform to speed up service development

From the local device to the cloud, ZJRC has created a safe and reliable operating environment for the system. Internet services (such as portal and Internet finance) and production services (such as customer service, OA, card registration and audit) run on more than 400 VMs, eliminating the impact of hardware faults on services. In case of a hardware device fault, H3C CAS virtualization platform will enable the disaster recovery of services in minutes, and switch services to the standby VM rapidly, to ensure the uninterrupted service and non-stop system. This also provides technical support for the subsequent construction of disaster recovery cloud.

The launch of Fengshou Kechuang cloud makes ZJRC address external challenges confidently. Based on the AsiaInfo anti-virus function integrated on the CAS virtualization platform, Fengshou Kechuang cloud can protect VMs from external viruses. If the service growth causes the performance bottleneck of database access, H3C CAS can effectively link with ONEStor distributed storage, improve the read/write performance, effectively avoid the access delay caused by excessive load of the core components such as the database, and make the applications on Fengshou Kechuang cloud run at full speed.

The cloud also changed the separated O&M of outlets effectively. The unified and interconnected cloud platform reduced the infrastructure O&M workload of the technical team of each branch. By using the Cloud OS, the technical team can easily apply for VM resources, configure the service resources according to the actual local conditions, and launch new online services, solving the issue of imbalanced O&M resources.
