Verify that the server on which you want to upgrade iFIST can communicate with HDM.

Cautions

Verify the hardware and software compatibility for iFIST.

iFIST diagnosis is unavailable only for the R4970 G7.

In the current software version, iFIST supports hot backup only for RAID-P460-B2, RAID-P460-M2, RAID-P460-B4, and RAID-P460-M4 controllers.

The OS installation wizard of iFIST supports the following operating systems:

For the memory smart-test feature, follow these restrictions and guidelines: 

The memory smart-test feature can perform tests only in UEFI boot mode.

The memory smart-test feature is supported only when all memory chips on the server are from a single vendor, Hynix, Samsung, or Micron.

The memory smart-test feature for memory chips from Hynix is supported in BIOS-2.00.33 and later on the following servers:

Follow these restrictions and guidelines for configuration management:

Configuration import and export are supported only in HDM-1.11.25 and later.

PMC storage controllers do not support importing and exporting RAID configuration.

ACS configuration is supported only on the following products:

H3C UniServer R5300 G3 with 16 GPUs

H3C UniServer R5300 G3 with 8 GPUs 

H3C UniServer R5500 G5 with AMD CPUs

H3C UniServer R5500 G5 with Intel CPUs

H3C UniServer R5300 G5 with 16 GPUs

H3C UniServer R5300 G5 with 8 GPUs

H3C UniServer R5300 G3 with a version earlier than BIOS-2.00.47 does not support disabling ACS control.

H3C UniServer R5500 G5 with Intel CPUs and a version earlier than BIOS-5.34 does not support disabling ACS control.

H3C UniServer R5300 G3 with 16 GPUs and a version earlier than HDM-1.30.20 does not support enabling ACS capability.

H3C UniServer R5300 G5 with 16 GPU and a version earlier than HDM-2.60 does not support enabling ACS capability.

Follow these restrictions and guidelines for log downloading:

SDS log downloading is supported only in HDM-1.11.19 and later.

The HBA-LSI-9300-8i-A1-X storage controller does not support downloading controller logs.

Secure data clearing is supported only on the following storage controllers: HBA-H460-M1, HBA-H460-B1, RAID-P460-M2, RAID-P460-B2, RAID-P460-M4, RAID-P460-B4, RAID-P4408-Mf-8i, RAID-P2404-Mf-4i, RAID-LSI-9361-8i(1G)-A1-X, and RAID-LSI-9361-8i(2G)-1-X.
