Restrictions

Verify that the server on which you want to upgrade iFIST can communicate with HDM.

The Windows installation on blade servers through iFIST is available only for HDM-2.38 or earlier and HDM-2.70 or later.

Cautions

Verify the hardware and software compatibility for iFIST.

iFIST diagnosis is available only for the R4900 G3/R4700 G3/R2900 G3/R2700 G3/ R6900 G3/ R6700 G3/B7800 G3/B5700 G3/B5800 G3/5300 G3/R4900 G5.

In the current software version, iFIST supports hot backup only for RAID-P460-B2, RAID-P460-M2, RAID-P460-B4, and RAID-P460-M4 controllers, and does not support this feature on B5700 G5/B7800 G3/B5700 G3/B5800 G3 servers.

The memory smart-test feature can perform tests only in UEFI boot mode.

SDS log downloading is supported only in HDM-1.11.19 and later.

The HBA-LSI-9300-8i-A1-X storage controller does not support downloading controller logs.

Secure data clearing is supported only on the following storage controllers: HBA-H460-M1, HBA-H460-B1, RAID-P460-M2, RAID-P460-B2, RAID-P460-M4, RAID-P460-B4, RAID-P4408-Mf-8i, RAID-P2404-Mf-4i, RAID-LSI-9361-8i(1G)-A1-X, and RAID-LSI-9361-8i(2G)-1-X.
