Notification triggers
This notification is generated when the state of an SR-MPLS TE policy changes. When the policy state changes from Up to Down, the notification provides the reason for the state change. Possible reasons are as follows:
The SR-MPLS TE policy has been shut down.
The candidate path of the SR-MPLS TE policy became invalid.
The key for the SR-MPLS TE policy was changed or deleted.
System impact
When the state of an SR-MPLS TE policy changes from Up to Down, the SR-MPLS TE policy is unavailable.
Status control
ON
CLI: Use the snmp-agent trap enable sr-policy command.
OFF
CLI: Use the undo snmp-agent trap enable sr-policy command.

Recommended action
To resolve this issue:
1.Execute the display segment-routing te policy command to display SR-MPLS TE policy information.
- Check the value of the Request state field. If it is not Succeeded, it indicates that the BSID request failed or is conflicted. In this case, delete the current BSID and re-execute the binding-sid command to configure a new BSID or obtain a dynamic BSID.
- Check the value of the AdminStatus field. If it is Down, it indicates that the shutdown command has been executed for the SR-MPLS TE policy. You need to execute the undo shutdown command to bring up the SR-MPLS TE policy.
- Check the value of the BFD trigger path-down field. If it is Enabled, it indicates that the function of BFD down triggering the SR-MPLS TE policy down is enabled. Disable this function by using the bfd trigger path-down disable command or ensure that the BFD session is normal.
- If the values of the previous fields are all correct, go to the next step.
2.Execute the display segment-routing te policy last-down-reason command to display the reason for the last down event of the SR-MPLS TE policy. Check the value of the Down reason field. Possible reasons are as follows:
- Admin down—The SR-MPLS TE policy has been shut down by using the shutdown command. Please execute the undo shutdown command to bring up the SR-MPLS TE policy.
- No Endpoint—The destination IP address of the SR-MPLS TE policy does not exist. Please execute the color end-point command to reconfigure a valid destination address. Make sure the destination address is reachable.
- No candidate path—The candidate path does not exist. Please create the candidate path.
- No valid candidate path—The candidate path does not have a SID list. Please specify a SID list for the SR-MPLS TE policy.
- Candidate path invalid segment list—All SID lists in the candidate path are down. Please check the forwarding path, repair the physical link or reconfigure a valid SID list.
- Policy unconfigured—The SR-MPLS TE policy is being deleted. Please collect log messages and alarm information, and then contact Technical Support for help.
- Unknown error—The SR-MPLS TE policy has an unknown error. Please collect log messages and alarm information, and then contact Technical Support for help.

Notification triggers
This notification is generated when the device failed to allocate the BSID for an SR-MPLS TE policy. Possible reasons are as follows:
The statically configured BSID for the SR-MPLS TE policy conflicted with the BSID dynamically assigned to another SR-MPLS TE policy.
BGP has dynamically allocated the same BSID to different SR-MPLS TE policies.
System impact
The SR-MPLS TE policy cannot be used for forwarding because of the BSID allocation failure.

Recommended action
To resolve the issue:
1.On the device that generated this notification, execute the display segment-routing te policy command to view the BSID values of all SR-MPLS TE policies.
2.If there is an SR-MPLS TE policy using the same BSID as the alarming SR-MPLS TE policy, use the display segment-routing label-block command to view the valid BSID value range and then use the binding-sid command to edit the BSID for the SR-MPLS TE policy.
3.After the SR-MPLS TE policy is bound to a new BSID, execute the display segment-routing te policy command to view the value of Request state field. If the value is Succeeded, the BSID request has succeeded. If the value is not Succeeded, go to the next step.
4.Collect alarm information and configuration data, and then contact Technical Support for help.
