link-protocol hdlc
Syntax
link-protocol hdlc
View
POS interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
None
Description
Use the link-protocol hdlc command to specify HDLC as the link layer protocol of a POS interface.
HDLC can carry network layer protocols such as IP and IPX.
The default link layer protocol of an interface is PPP.
Related commands: timer hold.
Examples
# Specify HDLC as the link layer protocol of POS 7/1/2.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Pos 7/1/2
[Sysname-Pos7/1/2] link-protocol hdlc
timer hold
Syntax
timer hold seconds
undo timer hold
View
POS interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
seconds: Link status polling interval (in seconds), in the range of 0 to 32767.
Description
Use the timer hold command to set the link status polling interval on a POS interface.
Use the undo timer hold command to restore the default.
The default link status polling interval is 10 seconds on a POS interface.
The two ends of a link must use the same link status polling interval.
Setting the link status polling interval to zero disables link status check.
Examples
# Set the link status polling interval to 100 seconds on POS 7/1/2.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Pos 7/1/2
[Sysname-Pos7/1/2] timer hold 100
bundle id
Syntax
bundle id bundle-id
undo bundle id
View
POS interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
bundle-id: Number of an HDLC link bundle. The value range for this argument is 1 to 240.
Description
Use the bundle id command to assign a POS interface to an HDLC link bundle.
Use the undo bundle id command to remove a POS interface from an HDLC link bundle.
You cannot assign interfaces configured with the following features to an HDLC link bundle: IPv4 addresses, IPv4 unnumbered, IPv6 addresses, and unicast reverse path forwarding (URPF). After an interface is assigned to an HDLC link bundle, you cannot configure any of these features on the interface.
You can assign only physical POS interfaces to HDLC link bundles.
An interface can be the member of only one HDLC link bundle. To move an interface from one HDLC link bundle to another HDLC link bundle, remove the interface from the current HDLC link bundle first.
The link layer protocol of an interface to be assigned to an HDLC link bundle can only be HDLC. You cannot change the link layer protocol of an HDLC link bundle member interface.
You can assign physical POS interfaces to an HDLC link bundle before you create the bundle.
Examples
# Assign POS 5/1/1 to HDLC link bundle numbered 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Pos 5/1/1
[Sysname-Pos5/1/1] bundle id 1
bundle max-active links
Syntax
bundle max-active links number
undo bundle max-active links
View
HDLC link bundle interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
number: Maximum number of selected member interfaces. The value range for this argument is 1 to 8.
Description
Use the bundle max-active links command to limit the number of selected interfaces in an HDLC link bundle.
Use the undo bundle max-active links command to remove the limit.
By default, no limit is set on the maximum number of selected member interfaces in an HDLC link bundle.
The value specified using this command cannot be smaller than that specified using the bundle min-active links command.
Use the bundle max-active links command together with the bundle member-priority command to make sure that the peer interfaces of a link always have the same selected status. If one end is selected but the other end is unselected, communication failure will occur.
Related commands: bundle min-active links and bundle member-priority.
Examples
# Limit the number of selected member interfaces in HDLC link bundle 1 to 8.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Hdlc-bundle 1
[Sysname-Hdlc-bundle1] bundle max-active links 8
bundle member-priority

View
POS interface view
Default level
2: System level
Parameters
priority: Bundling priority of an HDLC link bundle member interface. The value range for this argument is 1 to 65535.
Description
Use the bundle member-priority command to set the bundling priority of an HDLC-enabled POS interface.
Use the undo bundle member-priority command to restore the default.
The default bundling priority of an HDLC-enabled POS interface is 32768.
A higher priory value equals a lower bundling priority.
Examples
# Set the bundling priority of the HDLC-enabled interface POS 5/1/1 to 1.
<Sysname> system-view
[Sysname] interface Pos 5/1/1
[Sysname-Pos5/1/1] bundle member-priority 1

Use the undo bundle min-active bandwidth command to remove the limit.
By default, no limit is set on the minimum amount of bandwidth required to bring up an HDLC link bundle.
Examples
# Set the minimum amount of bandwidth required to bring up HDLC link bundle 1 to 1000 kbps.
<Sysname> system-view
