H3C recently won two bid packages in a bid for China Mobile’s 2022-2023 centralized procurement of switches for newly built data centers, gaining a shared of nearly 30% in the centralized procurement project. The project includes a total of four packages worth over three billion yuan (471 million U.S. dollars) (tax included), involving the supply of 16,420 switches. The total budget and amount of products covered in the bid packages represent record highs in the carrier’s procurement of switches.

H3C Switches Score Highly in China Mobile’s Rigorous Test

In recent years, China Mobile has begun to build super-large data centers for different fields of services, such as IT cloud, network cloud, and China Mobile Cloud. The endeavor has led to a great demand for switch products used in data centers.

As a core component for mass data exchange in large data centers, data center switches are supposed to deliver extremely reliable, stable, and safe performance, and keep pace with the times so as to satisfy increasingly diverse demands of users.

H3C’s switch series, including S12500F-AF, S6900, S6850, and S9820, passed the strict annual product test organized by China Mobile Research Institute for the carrier’s centralized procurement this year, and eventually won the bidding.

Among the winning product series, the S12500F-AF core switch series boasts industry-leading performance, and has been widely deployed in the IT cloud, network cloud, China Mobile Cloud, as well as other fields of China Mobile’s services.

A Professional Supplier Serving Major Carriers

With its full-stack technical capabilities and strong delivery and O&M capabilities concerning the integration of cloud, network, and security products and services, H3C has fully engaged in China Mobile’s infrastructure construction projects featuring cloud-network integration, gradually becoming a professional supplier with a rock-solid position in the carrier market.

Over the past year, H3C has seen its various product lines make it to key parts of carriers’ infrastructure facilities, with the selected products including router, switch, server, storage device, and security products. A series of the company’s flagship products has been deployed in China Mobile’s smart cloud private network, China Telecom’s new-type metropolitan area network (MAN), and China Unicom’s smart MAN, representing H3C’s model projects serving the construction of carriers’ IP networks.

Meanwhile, H3C has actively taken part in the formulation of standards for carrier networks, growing into a considerable force for industry standards of the ICT sector.

As a reliable cooperative partner of carriers, H3C will, under the guidance of its strategic blueprint focusing on carriers’ needs in the construction and development of IT cloud, network cloud, government and enterprise cloud, as well as IP network and 5G mobile communications network, further intensify efforts to satisfy the scenario-based needs of its customers in the carrier market and provide them with a wide range of products and solutions. In this way, H3C will be able to give a strong boost to their construction of open and flexible infrastructure with integrated cloud and network capabilities and speed up digital transformation.
