Software Upgrade Quick Start Configuration Guide

Restrictions and guidelines
Use the release notes for the upgrade software version to evaluate the upgrade impact on your network and verify the compatibility of the upgrade software with the current software version.
An upgrade requires the device to reboot. Please upgrade software during off-peak hours.
Prerequisites
You can obtain the upgrade file by using either of the following methods:
· Log in to http://www.h3c.com/en, select Support > Resource Center > Software Download, find the target device, and download the upgrade file.

· Contact H3C Support to obtain the upgrade file.
Procedures
1. View the current version information:
a. From the left navigation pane, click Dashboard.
b. In the System Info section, view the current version information.

2. View the free storage space:
a. From the left navigation pane, click Device > File System.
b. On the File System page, view the free storage space.

3. Upgrade software
a. From the left navigation pane, click Device > Upgrade.
b. On the Upgrade page, click Upgrade system software.
c. On the Upgrading system software page, click Choose File to select a local file. To perform an immediate upgrade, select Reboot now. Otherwise, deselect Reboot now.
d. Click Apply. If you selected Reboot now, wait the device to reboot and log in to the device again after the upgrade is complete.

Verify the configuration
1. In the System Info section on the Dashboard page, view the current version information.
