Typical application—data transmission
As shown in the following figure:
CPE5100P is connected to downstream devices via Ethernet ports or WiFi, and the downstream devices include cameras and office endpoints.
CPE5100P accesses the 5G network via the 5G radio interface. In the upstream direction, the camera or office endpoint transmits image information and office data to the application server via CPE5100P over the 5G network. In the downstream direction, the campus application server sends camera control information and business data through the 5G network and interacts with the service endpoint devices through CPE5100P.
Special application—CPE compatible fit AP application
In WLAN wireless network deployment, the traditional method for connecting APs to ACs is wired connection, which has inconvenient deployment and high cost. By using CPEs to connect APs and implementing wireless backhaul through the 5G network, the deployment and cost issues are resolved. However, the CPEs and APs still need to be connected via wired connection.
To further reduce deployment difficulty and cost, as well as improve overall reliability and aesthetics, CPE5100P supports fit AP mode. In this mode, one CPE5100P is equivalent to one CPE and one AP.
Network description
CPE5100P supports registration with an AC and is centrally managed by the AC.
AC supports unified planning and allocation of IP addresses for the entire network's WiFi clients.
WiFi clients are authenticated through the wireless authentication platform. Authentication methods include portal authentication, MAC authentication, and IEEE 802.1X authentication.
Seamless secondary authentication and roaming across CPE5100Ps are available to WiFi clients.
Values
WLAN networks are fast deployed with reduced difficulty and cost.
The AC audits internal and external network traffic.
WiFi clients directly access the intranet.
Special application—Dual-link backup with 5G and WiFi
CPE5100 supports dual uplinks with both 5G and WiFi for WiFi clients. In a network environment with both 5G and WLAN, the 5G and WiFi links can be used as backups for each other to enhance transmission reliability. The network applications are as follows.
Network description
CPE5100P provides wired Ethernet access on the LAN side and is connected to the upstream network through 5G and WiFi on the WAN side.
You can configure WiFi or 5G as the primary link, and the other link will be the backup link.
The primary and backup links perform switchover and collaboration through NQA and Track. When the primary link is interrupted, traffic will automatically switch to the backup link. When the primary link is restored, traffic falls back to the backup link.
Values
If both WiFi and 5G networks exist, communication reliability is enhanced through the primary and backup links with WiFi and 5G.
