H3C Joint Hands with Macau Fisherman’s Wharf Providing Intelligent & Seamless Network to Enhance Customer Experience

Based on the network traffic characteristics & applications bandwidth, H3C has deployed a number of H3C S10500 series switches with advanced CLOS architecture & H3C S6800 Data Center Intelligent Switch Series for Macau Fisherman’s Wharf & its Legend Palace Hotel, Harbourview Hotel and Rocks Hotel, establishing a highly resilience network foundation by using H3C’s Intelligent Resilient Framework 2 (IRF2) virtualization technology to form a single logical device and achieve a fully redundant core network.

Travelers today are pursuing a seamless network experience, the entire campus of Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is covered by highly reliable H3C wireless devices. With the wide adoption of the latest 802.11ac AP and deployed different APs at different venues, including H3C WA4320H walljack AP in nearly a thousand hotel rooms, H3C 4620i AP in high-performance access areas such as lobby & multi-function room, H3C 4330 triple band AP in high-density areas such as restaurant & conference room as well as H3C 4320X smart antenna outdoor AP in outdoor areas like Marina and Legend Boulevard. The solution provides a stable wireless network for more than 133,000 square meter, covering the customer needs for Legend Palace Hotel, Harbourview Hotel, Rocks Hotel and nearly 30 restaurants. In the meantime, the entire wireless network are adopting unified SSID & centralized authentication model, enable customers to enjoy a seamless network experience without re-certification.

Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is strategically located near the Macau Ferry Terminal & Heliport. Having a diverse building architectures and large outdoor dining & shopping area, make network design requirement becomes stringent and put strong focus on network system reliability, durability and cost efficiency. Macau Fisherman’s Wharf connected H3C solution with existing system and conducted an extensive proof-of-concept testing, which not only prove the compatibility of H3C solution, also provide a more robust link performance to meet future requirements.

Macau Fisherman’s Wharf is also using H3C intelligent Management Center (iMC) to manage its wired & wireless network system to ensure unified management. Currently, it managed hundreds of H3C switch and more than 1,500 H3C wireless AP.
